Goodmorning lovelies,

I can’t say it enough but I just love to combine my Maja Papers with my Cheery Lynn Designs dies. So for this post it’s not a layout I created but I made a memory book for myself using the pretty “Vintage Autumn Basics”collection. I will add pictures of our wedding day back in 2012 to complete my book.

This is like a mini album where you can preserve all your precious pictures in {like wedding day’s, get away’s, birthday party’s etc.} For me I wanted to be all of my wedding pictures because I treasure the ones I have. Because there were not that many taken on our special day.

I am more of a layout kinda girl but this was super easy to make which I really like you can also make them in different sizes if you would like to. The album contains of seven sheets and this one is very girly I am going to make one for my husband too, the flowers are off course handmade which I love to do. This is the backside of my memory book.

Hello Maja fans!

I’m on the blog today to share a mini album I’ve made from the brand new collection Enjoying Outdoors. I love the sweet combination of purples with browns and greens – and reminds me of the lavender fields we saw while on a road trip to the forests in Western Australia.

Here is the cover of my mini. I love the stalks of lavender in the die-cut sheet but lavenders don’t grow well here, so I tied a small bunch of dried forget-me-nots (I keep lots of these whenever I receive a bouquet of flowers, which is not very often by the way!) with some lace. The die cut tags from the 6×6 paper stack are the perfect size for the mini too.

Here’s a look at the inside pages:

IMG_0261

This is really a very small album – about 3″ by 5″ so I decided to keep things simple inside without excessive layers. Just lightly distressed edges on the papers and banners made from the info strip to give me plenty of space for photos and journaling.

A little more fun here with chipboard and lace. We always try to spot mushrooms on our walks in the park so I added those as a reminder of the little bits of nature we see when we’re outdoors. Now if only there were truffles here….

In the end, I couldn’t resist adding more layers and flowers.

And the last two pages of the album with simple photo mats and flat flowers so that the album doesn’t end up too chunky.

That’s all for the mini album and I hope to fill it up soon with pictures of our family out in the parks for our walks and the fun things that we see on the way!

Hello Maja Friends.

The more I work with Maja papers, the more I realize how much I love all the collections.

However, it is difficult to find the most favorite of mine, but I guess that each collection is made for a special season. Fall is the season of cooking for me. The harvest is a reason that is why I adore Autumn too.

Most of the recipes I save to the Pinterest boards ( though it’s quite rare when I check for them ). Actually what I really like to note and keep in my books – the desert  recipes, cakes, pies, cookies – well the quantity for them is needed to be checked more than twice.

That is why I made a special cook book for them

FikaBook_Main_ElenaOlinevichI distressed the paper sheets in coffee, so all of them have the gorgeous coffee smell while you are looking through the pages.

So I made 4 embellished pages, to separate the different kind of recipes.

FikaBook_ElenaOlinevich1I found some cute images on Pinterest and added them to my pages

Fika1_closeI really can not imagine making the cozy cook books without adding the fabric and stitching to them.

MajaFika_Book2_ElenaOlinevichI added a clear mug and put the mint leave and a spoon inside

FIka_close2My next pages are with yumy berries – adore those patterned papers

FikaBook_ElenaOlinevich7I made some pockets and envelopes inside:

FikaBook_ElenaOlinevich_BerriesInsAren’t they are beautiful?

yammy_berries_sneakFikaBook_secondB_ElenaOlinevichMajaFika_Book6_ElenaOlinevichApples are one of my favorites too, so there are some papers with them too

img_1743FikaBook_Maja6B_elenaOlinevichMajaFika_Book4_ElenaOLinevichSome more flaps:

FikaBook_ElenaOLinevich4BFika_close4And the last 2 pages:

MajaFika_Book_ElenaOLinevich7MajaFika_Book_last_ElenaOLinevichThere is more space to hide your notes and recipes into the vellum pocket:

FikaSneak_ElenaOlinevichAlso I prepared a video clip, so that you can look through the book for more details

Hope I have inspired you not only to craft but to cook too.

Have a wondeful week end.
