Hello.  Jennifer Snyder here today to acknowledge some followers who regularly share their art by “tagging ” us on Facebook.  What do I mean by “tagging” and how does one actually “tag” Maja Design?  Great questions.
What Does It Mean to “Tag” on Facebook
“Tagging” is a great way to share on Facebook.
When I tag someone on a Facebook post, it means the post I created on my timeline will also appear on that person’s timeline.  Let’s say I want to add a beautiful photo of my husband to my timeline. I want my husband to see it so I will tag my husband in my post.  At that point, my post will be shares on his timeline  for all his friends and followers to see. You can “tag” people and you can “tag” companies as well.  If I post a card using Maja Design, I can “tag” Maja Design and the artwork will appear in Maja’s Facebook page.
How to “Tag” on Facebook
Tagging is easy.  I’ll stick to the example of my husband.  As I am writing my  Facebook post, I can start typing his name and list of names will usually appear for me to select.  Once selected, the “tagged” name will have a highlighted color – mine “tag”appears as blue type. “Tagging” a company requires you to simply type @ before the name.  So I would type @Maja Design, and a list of names should appear to select.  That’s all there is to “tagging”.
“Tagging” is a Great Way to Share on Facebook
The great thing about “tagging” Maja Design is that you do not need to make multiple posts.  You simply need to make just one post to your timeline and you are done.  That one “tag” means the wonderful folks at Maja Design get to see your work as well as all the Maja fans around the world.  Now the whole world can admire and be awestruck over your amazing talent and your clever design.  You are an instant  crafting “rock star”!
Today I would like to acknowledge the artwork of some wonderful artists who regularly “tag” Maja Design.
FEATURED ARTISTS
Line is from Hedmark, Norway.  She enjoys making cards and tags as well as 3D projects and home decor.  Her favorite color combination is brown and blue.  Her favorite Maja Design collection is Vintage Frost Basics.

You can see more of her artwork on her blog: here

Dorthe is from Denmark. She really enjoys making cards but does occasionally like to make a layout, box or something altered.   Her wonderful style  is a ix of vintage and shabby chic with graceful delicate details.  Her favorite colors to use in projects are blue and pink.

You can find more of Dorthe’s work on her blog: www.pipserier.blogspot.dk

Mary lives near Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England. Mary enjoys making cards, layouts, home decor, tags, gift boxes and mini albums. Where does Mary get some of her inspiration from? Her daughter! Mary said, “Mostly I craft on the weekend with my daughter Andrea who has been a papercrafter as long as I can remember and never fails to inspire and encourage me to make lovely cards and photographs.”
Well guess what Mary? You are an inspiration to so many on Facebook. Mary’s favorite color combination is ivory and pink. Her favorite Maja Design Collections are Coffee in the Arbour and Vintage Summer.

Mary’s blog is called Playing with Ribbon and can be found here.

If you would like to be featured, then consider adding a “tag” to your Facebook posts to share with Maja Design and the whole world.

Hello dear Maja fans,

Today I have some fantastic news for you. ♥
We actually have a new team member..! Let me proudly present our newest talent – Tina Ollett..!

Tina-Ollett

You might recognize her from a guest blogpost a few weeks ago. We totally fell in love with her art and asked her to be on the team. And we are so glad that she said yes..!

We let her present herself:

I live in beautiful sunny Queensland, Australia with my husband, our three children and two furry friends. They are my ultimate inspiration for everything creative that I do. I am for the most part a scrapbooker, but on occasion I have been known to do smaller off the page projects. I love to use patterned papers, lots of  layers, dimension, chipboards and of course flowers…..lots of flowers with small amounts of media in a vintage / shabby chic style. My aim when scrapping is to keep the focus on the photo and to celebrate the memories that they represent.

I am currently designing on some wonderful Design Teams, and in my other spare time I share my love of scrapbooking through teaching at workshops and classes around my hometown.

To see more of my work you can visit me here :

You can enjoy her very first CT post already tomorrow, here at the Maja blog.

A huge, warm welcome to you, Tina..!

Hi there..!
Happy to see you here today. It’s time for a brand new mood board challenge. And this time it’s really gorgeous and soo inspiring, don’t you think..? I’m really looking forward to see your creations this time. After last month, I, however, wonder if it’s ever possible to receive that many magnificent contributions again.. I’m still all that astounded and amazed by the response of the September challenge.  I hope to see all of you participate this month too. ♥ And, don’t forget to invite your friends.

MB-October16

This is how we use the mood boards:

Definition mood board – n

[a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other]

We are using mood boards for our challenges. We truly believe in creativity and art at Maja Design. You are free to interpret the mood boards in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. However – we highly recommend you to follow the theme.. Feel free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme.

We will pick a winner and present it here on the blog October 31st.

Have in mind that these challenges are a really great way for us to discover new talents and maybe some future Creative Team members…

How to participate?

♥ Create anything you’ll like – a layout, a card, something altered or maybe a canvas. Use Maja papers primarily! Take a nice picture of it and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu. We also need to know your full name, address and a phone number. Please specify what collection you would like to win, if you are the lucky one. We will also want to know if you would like it in the size 12*12 or 6*6. Please send us the pictures in the size of 800 pixels on the width. We would be so grateful if you also could change the file name of the photo to your first and last name including your country.

♥ Feel free to send us more than one picture, from different angles or some close-ups – or why not more than one project?

♥ Publish the project/s on your blog (or/and any social media, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) with a link to our site. Please also add the image of the mood board.

♥ Feel free to combine your entry with other challenges.

♥ The winner will be revealed the last Monday each month, at the Maja blog. The winner will be sent one collection by their choice, and also a digital Winner’s Badge to use and brag with.

We need your creation October 27th at the latest.

Thank you & Good luck!
