Welcome and hello Maja Design friends. Tina Ollett here with you today to share a Christmas creation using not the new release collection but the Denim and Friends Collection. Well it is that time of the year when I get behind on absolutely everything including my Design Team work. And if I can use the quote “to kill two birds with one stone” that is exactly what I have done to ease my workload for this week. I have combined my Design Team work for Maja with the Dusty Attic Design Team work and used their Moodboard for this month. And to do this I had to use a different collection. So therefore the use of Denim and Friends.

Streetwear

Streetwear b side

My layout started with just three pieces of Streetwear from the Denim and Friends collection. I used the teal green for the base and tore the second piece using the opposite side with stars. I simply tore a section top and bottom and then roll sections after distressing and sanding my papers.

Once my background was finished I then used the leftover papers to create some matting base for my 4 x 6 portrait black and white photo. You can see above the layers of Streetwear used to do this above.

I also added in a little stamping on my project and some textures with Sand Texture paste through a stencil and also splatters of acrylic white paint.

I used distress inks mixed with gesso to colour my flowers and also some of the Dusty Attic chipboards that I selected to use for this project.

I decided at the very end of my project to add in some gorgeous laces. It just seemed a little empty without pops of white. I also added in a little distressed muslin.

Well that is all from me today. I do hope you enjoyed my post. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very safe and merry Christmas. I hope Christmas brings all the special things your heart desires.

Until next year take care.

Hi there! Not a Christmas project from me today, hope it is ok?! I just wanted to show you the tool drawer I made for a Father’s Day card. I have used the Denim & Friends collection. Here you find papers for every masculine project.

The dies are from Magnolia. As for the image. I have used Distress Ink for my colouring.

To make this I have folded a box, where the sides measures 4×8 cm and 8×8 cm.

The metal frame is from Wild Orchid Crafts and I have painted here and there with White Gesso.

I am trying to find the time to make some Christmas cards aswell, but this weekend I have been baking Christmas cookies. Maybe I will find some time this evening.

This project was also published in the magazine Ett Trykk. Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog!

With love,

My Little Star

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

It’s been two months since I created anything with my all-time favourite Maja collection, Denim&Friends! 😀 And so I couldn’t wait any longer and made a layout for my today’s post:

I really love grid patterns, they give you a sense of using a piece of an actual document and at the same time provide some useful structure to plan your design 😉 As I like clear composition and straight lines, I really appreciate that feature of the background. To introduce the theme of the layout, I applied stars pattern with a stencil and texture paste. Then I matted the photo with a light sand-coloured sheet and added some hand-cut tags:

…the flower-embellishments cluster:

…with a piece cut off the signature strip:

…and finally the title arranged with sticker chipboard letters:

I included many star motives to refer to the title: stencilled, die-cut and art clay ones. I also added some starshine 😉 – the stencil paste is gold and I die-cut the stars in mirror gold cardstock.I think this gave the whole a coherent look both with motives and textures. What do you think?

And here’s what I used for the layout:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Crea-Nest-Lies; alpha stickers: American Crafts; cabochon, charm, sequins – my stash.

And that’s all for today, thank you for visiting and come back tomorrow for more inspiration 🙂

Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer with you today and I am sharing another card for a man, that I have created for you. There are many more new collections released after this one, but I am still itching to get my hands on it and play with it over and over.

some close ups for you:

love to use chipboard, black and metal accents, some transparencies, die cutting in kraft and black yardstick. What do you love to incorporate into your men’s card?

The coolest Denim and Friends collection:

Have a lovely day,

Lots of Wishes

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Forgive me please, but I’m back to my most favourite Maja collection, i.e. Denim&Friends. I just love the versatility of this set! The patterns, the colours – it’s so much more than just a masculine collection 🙂 And to prove that I have a birthday card to share – and it’s not necessarily for a man:

I layered light sand papers for my background and distressed all the edges. That provided a semi-dimensional matting for the focal decorative element, a chipboard layered clock:

I added a flower cluster in the lower left-hand corner and a small star banner in the opposite corner – I cut it out from the signature strip of the Monochrome-Aqua sheet (if you have seen some more of my projects, you know that I love using those tiny patterns too 🙂 )

Just look at this yummy dimension!

I really like the way the card turned out – light and delicate, with a romantic twist 🙂 What do you think?

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: chipboard clock: SnipArt; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; mists: Prima; stickers: Heidi Swapp; stamp: Lemonade; embossing powder: Ranger.

That is all for today, visit us daily for more inspiration!
