Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

For this post I have a layout to share with a cutest little boy photo as a welcome gift:

For the colour palette I used the photo colours and added hues of blue. Therefore I chose my two favourite collections that fitted perfectly: Vintage Baby (of course) and Denim&Friends (it’s a boy, right?). I wanted the photo to remain the focal point and added only a few embellishments, including a die-cut and paper-pieced balloon:

…the name banner:

…the measurements:

To accent the lightness and delicacy of the photo I added cheesecloth, pom-poms and buttons:

I really like the way it turned out, sweet and light as is the precious new baby boy ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Sizzix, Memory Box, Craft Passion; chipboard: Scrapiniec; liquid pearls: Ranger; cheesecloth, buttons, pom-poms – my stash.

Thank you for visiting and see you later!

Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer with you today. We have been relocating to another country this summer so I have been not scrapping for a while and I must say it feels so wonderful to get back to my working table. I still feel a bit lost in my reorganised stash, but the first card is ready:)

The Denim and Friends collection is just absolutely wonderful, whenever you sit to carte with it, the projects just come up together so easily. Absolutely love it!

and some close ups:

My secret for all the masculine cards are some contrast details, some black, kraft accents, Metal parts, all gears, chipboard fits here always good. You can also add black machine stitching, some layers, a bit of rough touches of paper here and there…

I have used the prefect masculine collection, Denim and Friends:

Have a lovely day,

Wonderful Escape

Goodmorning Maja Design Fans,

So nice of you to visit the Maja Design blog today, it’s been a long time since I last created something about three months I think. Not that I didn’t want to but my little family was struggeling with some issues and now we are all on the mend again with me having more time to get creative yeahh…. For today I would like to show you a layout that has been on my desk for that last three months {in pieces tho…}. I used two of my favorite collections Nyhavn & Denim and Friends.

On this layout I used some pretty lace from Tresors de Luxe, I also added a stencil with some paste and ink with a script stamp by our very own Pascale. The picture I got from pinterest. My uncle from Florida brought me some pearl bling when he visited last May that I used one this layout aswell.

I got myself a new phone and I am still figuring out how I can make my pictures look like the actual colors as my layouts are. So some of the close ups look a bit yellow sorry for that.

Maja Design papers used: Denim & Friends: Fashion & Sunbleached, Nyhavn: a dockside in bloom.

Thank you very much for your visit, I hope I have inspired you to go and create something beautiful with your Maja papers. Have a wonderful & sunny day!

Love xoxo

Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

Father’s Day has been celebrated in various parts of the world, and in Poland it comes on June 23rd. Therefore for my today’s post I created two cards for the occasion. These are really super quick and easy to make even for beginners ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t mind at all using flowers in masculine projects, but this time I decided not to include a single one. I based both on the Denim & Friends collection.

For the first card you don’t even need any die-cutting machine, I cut all the paper elements by hand.

I layered papers, added some tags and a strip of paper across the card and placed a cut-out image on top. I decorated the card with metal embellishments, studs and a chipboard sentiment, but you could easily replace those with paper elements and handwriting.

If you have a die-cutting machine, the second card would be a piece of cake to make too ๐Ÿ™‚

I layered selected papers in the background and mounted a cut-out image, then added some die-cut stars and a trophy to match the stamped sentiment which says: “Dad, you’re the best”. I finished the card off with drops of liquid pearls and glitter. After all, men love to shine ๐Ÿ™‚

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Marianne Desig, Crea-Lies; stamp: Lemonade; metal elements: ScrapHobby; string, ribbon: my stash.

Thank you for visiting today and see you soon!

Precious Memories

Good morning, Maja friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

In May Maja is the sponsor for More Than Words challenge blog and some of us from the Maja DT took part in the May Main Challenge. The subject was “Memories” and the additional requirement was to use frames. And here’s my take:

Working on this layout was such a pleasure! Memories after all are essential to our hobby, and who doesn’t love using frames? ๐Ÿ™‚ Here I combined turqouise and sand papers from the Denim&Friends collection and followed this colour combo, adding touches of gold and white.

First I layered distressed papers for the background and splashed them with golden-brown Prima mist.

Then I mounted my photo upon chipboard frames, randomly selected from my stash and filled with bits of papers:

I completed my design with a flower cluster and buttons:

I also included some acrylic gems and art clay embellishments, like this wing that I coloured with acrylic paints for an ombre effect:

I really like the way it turned out, with my favourite colours and a favourite person in the photo ๐Ÿ˜‰

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec, Wycinanka; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; mist: Prima; buttons: Lemoncraft; clay molds: Prosvet; clay: Martha Stewart; gems, stems: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and drop by tomorrow for more inspiration from my talented friends!
