Goodmorning lovelies,

As I am writing this post it’s almost 12 o’clock at night and we will be leaving on our vacation tomorrow! Yeah the time is finally there some precious family time. When you will read this post I will be at the pool side at our hotel in Turkey enjoying the warm sun and lovely food & drinks. For today’s post I made a card again and this time I used the beautiful Limited Edition “Nyhavn” Heritage Harbor collection this collection had to grow on me but now it’s like one of my favorites to design with. At the end of my post I will show you a layout I created for another DT using the same collection.

All the flowers on my card are handmade with dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. I love creating flowers because it’s very therapeutic and you can make them while sitting in the sun or just when you are watching tv.

In the future I will make a video on how I make my flowers. There was someone asking that because in my last {and first} video. I also used some chipboard pieces on my card and I added some metal gems to make my chipboard a little prettier

Here is a layout I made with same collection all created with dies. The picture is a selfie we made a couple of weeks ago and because my husband never listens to me {about not wearing his sunglasses} it looks like he pooped in his pants in this picture hihihihih lol. If you also love this collection you have to be fast because it’s almost sold out…….

Thank you so much for being here with me today and hopefully you are enjoying your vacation time too….and for the people who already went I hope you had a great time spent with your loved ones. Have a wonderful & sunny weekend!

Goodmorning everyone,

So glad I am here with you on the last day of the month! Are you all enjoying your summer vacation? Today I have a little treat for you. I made a video tutorial my first {so be gentle with me} with a little help of my husband because I don’t know the program we use for video for editing that good well not jet anyways. For this layout I used the always gorgeous “Vintage Autumn Basics” collection plus one of the blue sheets from the “Vintage Baby” collection this time I went for the blues, green & cream papers. I also added some Dusty Attic chipboard pieces on my work with some handmade {dies by Cheery Lynn Designs}, petaloo & dusty attic flowers. It’s so much fun to use all products from the three design teams I am in……it feels like a true blessing.

The blue and green flowers are the ones that I made myself as you will see in the video. The picture is of my little family well without me lol. I was planning on using the background sheet with the blue flowers on it for ages but I always took out the pink tones in this paper collection because I always have trouble finding the correct blue toned flowers, but this time it worked out very well because I made my own flowers.

Here is my tutorial:

Hope you liked my video and I think I am hooked now but I still have to figure out a lot on how to make it better because on this video you don’t see things because I am working out of the screen sometimes.

As you see here I used some different stencils one with the flowers and one with the text! I really enjoy using mixed media on my layouts. I also stamped randomly on my papers and used many different Lindy’s sprays. For the coloring of my chipboard I used the dusty attic acrylic paints. Don’t you just love the tabs? They add so much to your layout.

On the arrow with feathers underneath my picture I used some treat and some metal gems to make it prettier. I painted that particular pieces with some dusty attic acrylic paint but also with the rust paste set by Finnabair oh boy how I love that stuff. To make my layout complete added some clocks from the same collection I used here.

Goodmorning lovelies,

Wow I am so in love with the new “Vintage Romance” collection, that when I got my DT box two days back my head began to spin of ideas what to create next but first I sorted my beautiful papers. For today’s post I have 12×12 layout totally my style so it was very easy to create. Sometimes it’s hard to find flowers that will fit on my layouts because most of the time it’s slightly a different color which I don’t like. So on this layout I used handmade flowers made of the same collection! 😉

When I saw Rachelle her layout last Saturday I was totally swooned by it {she is one of my favorite artists} I totally liked the idea of the pretty gems on that particular chipboard piece beneath her picture. That I really wanted to give her credit for it thank you for the wonderful idea Rachelle xox! The chipboards I used are by Dusty Attic their designs are so pretty and delicate that it totally fir this paper collection.

This collection totally lends itself to make romantic layouts of Paris. I have been to the city of love more then once and still I don’t have pictures of that time sadly. So I used a picture of a adorable couple that I got from Pinterest “Oh how I love that site” it has the most amazing ideas and beautiful pictures.

Hi everyone! It’s Gabrielle here with you today to share a special page I made for my parents anniversary this month.  They are having their 58th wedding anniversary, such a wonderful milestone.  For this page I combined a number of paper collections, using 5 different papers. (Vintage Summer Basics 1922, Nyhavn-Strolling Along the Canal, Vintage Summer Basics 1923, Ska Vi ta en Fika-Pratstund, Vintage Autumn Basics-XVI).

LIveLaughLove_GabriellePollacco_closeup1

I began by using the Vintage Summer Basics 1922 paper as my matting/background paper. I then cut the corner and 1/4 inches off the edges of the Nyhavn paper, which I then painted with some Shimmerz paints (Black Cherry Soda Creameez and Onyx Inklingz) and stamped liberally around the photo area with some stamps that I designed for The Scrapbook Diaries.  I then layered on a crocheted lace Doily from Tresors de Luxe and a chipboard frame from Dusty Attic (Swirly Frame and Laurel Leaf chippies).

I created coordinating blossoms using the Rose Creations dies from Spellbinders, using the scraps from the Vintage Summer Basics 1922 and 1923 papers.  I cut the smaller inner petals from the darker pink paper and the larger petals from the light pink paper.  I also cut out a few green leaves using the Ska vi ta en Fika paper (leaf dies are from the Rose Creations set).

I added a cluster of embellishments in the bottom right corner using a couple of Dusty Attic chippies (title and scroll).  I also added some texture using a Prima flourish stencil and home-made texture paste. And as always I love to tuck in a little clock here and there from the Vintage Autumn Basics XVI paper.

I hope my parents enjoy this layout, I’m forever grateful to have them in my life and hope they will see many many more anniversaries.  Thanks so much for stopping by the Maja Design blog today!
