Hello my dear friends and happy Sunday to all!!!

It’s Mary here with you today and I want to share with you my latest layout feauturing the ”Summetime” collection.

A layout in blue and earth tones that was inspired by the beautiful photo which I found on Pinterest. And, before I continue I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

I used as the main paper for my background the ”Wind in my Hair” and I made another layer on it with a torn piece of the backside of the ”Is my Favourite” paper. Then, I matted my photo with the leftover torn pieces from the ”Is my Favourite” paper.

I gave my background a coat of clear gesso and when it was dried, I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil. Then, I heat embossed the paterm with ”Cafe’ au Lait” Lindy’s Stamp Gang embossing powder. Next was to color my page with Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays ”Cattail Copper Brown” and ”Bluebeard Blue Violet”.

I heat embossed the title and the ”Moroccan Bits” chipboards with the ”Bratwurst Brown” Lindy’s embossing powder. All the chipboards I used are 2crafty and the flair is Cuts2luv.

To finish my page, I added some art stones with gel medium and made some splatters with white ink.

Goodmorning & happy Friday Maja Fans,

For today I have another layout to share and this time it’s a mixed media layout using a bunch of mixed media techniques. When I was ready with my layout a little disaster happened half a bottle of Lindy’s Stamp Gang’s blazing black spray’s fell all over the lower left corner of my layout. Oeh la la that never happened to me before but “hey” that happens when you do not close the cap of the bottle after using it. Luckily I could fix it only not really like I intended to be….but I am very happy with the result.

I really love all the darker & white/grey papers Maja Design offers but I wish they had more because sometimes I really love to make something outside my comfort zone like this layout is. For this layout I used four collections Nyhavn, Crea Diem, Sommatider and Vintage Spring Basics. This time I choose two other colors to compliment my work teal and yellow. The butterflies are stamped on the white Sitting at the dock sheet from the Nyhavn collection. Then I painted them with “Azure Sea Asters” starburst spray’s from Lindy’s Stamp Gang en then I cut them out.

The flowers are by Prima Marketing and 49 and Market. For the first time in a long while I haven’t used any chipboard on my work wow I just saw that now lol…..I also added two flairs from “Cuts2luv and a metal plate with the word paradise on it. I am a real sucker for the beach so as you can imagine this looks like paradise to me since I moved more then an hour from the nearest beach I sometimes dream I am there “My Paradise”!

On the background of my layout I used a different mixed media technique then I normally do. I took a piece of plastic packaging and sprayed on top of that plastic and then placed it on my paper sheet then you get kind of a messy watercoloring spots on your work. I did that with the teal color but also with a yellow/gold spray. Then I stamped on top of that with different stamp sets by 49 and Market. Then I matted my picture and cut out six different sizes of squares in three pairs of two of the same papers….Kann Dig Sjalv {Crea Diem}, 1st of March {Vintage Spring Basics} and Baslakan {Sommatider}!

Hello our blog fans. Today I would like to show you gift set. It is a card with the notebook in a vintage style. I love to create this time of projects 🙂 Take a look, please :Vintage gift set

I started to created this project by finding the matching papers. Next step was to collect all add-ons, chipboard and laces. With the composition was easy – it is always in my head. I took a while before I found my own style … I can create cards in a different styles as well but with the vintage it is really fast. I know what I like !

Vintage Gift SetUsually I’m adding chipboards without colouring. This time I decided to add two colours. It made sense and I really like the final effect. Will do it more often – definitely.

Vintage gift setWhite gesso – added on the roses and the small details showed the texture and gave a pinch of a shabby chic style as well.

Vintage Gift SetVintage Gift SetTiny notebook – perfect to have it on your office desk. I used to have one and write down my inspiration, dreams etc…

Vintage Gift SetVintage Gift SetHope you like my project. If you have any question – do not hesitate to ask. See you soon 🙂 Hugs, Paulina

Hello our blog fans. Today I would like to show you layout. I decided to create this project inspired by my last pictures taken for the school. I love black and white photography. Mystical clouds, darkness of the mountains and the fog – amazing combination. I tried to keep my layout really simple and clean – take a look, please :

LO

Few layers of the paper, gaze and some laces – added irregularly, like the clouds …

LayoutLayout… matching sentence. Just a few words gives as really nice focus point next to the picture.

Layout

Metal embellishments, die-cut chipboards from Scrapiniec, a little bit of colours … LayoutLike you could see… you don’t need many add-ons to create some project. Use your imagination and create.

Hugs, Paulina
