Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

As you can easily tell by the titlte, I bring you a wedding card today that I made using the latest Maja release, the Miles Apart collection:

You most definitely know that Miles Apart papers feature some beautiful and romantic flower patterns that are just perfect for occasions like a wedding. But this time instead of putting those gorgeous flowers in the card background, I took inspiration from them and tried to recreate the bouquet ON the card. And so I chose delicate light papers for the background and added a flower cluster that imitates the patterned papers:

To the rose bouquet I added die-cut leaves, crystal gems and some chipboard ornaments. Vintage ribbon and enamel dots complete the design:

Just look how nicely dimensional it turned out!

…which means it needed a box too πŸ™‚ I decorated it with washi tape with rose pattern – a perfect match!

What do you think? I must say I’m quite satisfied πŸ™‚

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Magnolia; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; ribbon: Na Strychu; chipboard: Scrapiniec, Wycinanka.pl; gems: my stash.

See you soon!

Good morning Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

So the day has come: a new collection from Maja Design is being released right now! And I am absolutely smitten by this collection: it’s so classic Maja, but with a fresh air to it too, with stunning ephemera images and most beautiful soft colour palette. It’s as versatile as any Maja collection, even though it has a particular theme: missing some loved ones because we can’t see them as they are miles apart. I think it also fits well in the current times of the world pandemic, when many have to stay at homes due to lockdowns or quarantines. So these paper would be perfect for all those “thinking of you” and “miss you” cards or other projects, images of elderly people would be perfect for Grandparents’ Day projects. But the collection features some gorgeous flower designs as well, simply ideal for wedding or birthday cards and albums. And so today I bring you a wedding exploding box with my most favourite designs from the set πŸ™‚

As usually, I decorated the box lid with a flower cluster, with wedding rings ribbon and some golden die-cut leaves. On the sides of the lids I used pieces of the signature strip – I just love those small patterns or sentiments ready to be used like this:

Then the outer walls feature the beautiful rose bouquets design, definitely my most favourite pattern!

Inside I put some money pockets and a tag for writing in wishes, and in the centre a filigree chipboard cake decorated with matching mini roses and a lace bow:

I really loved working with these papers and I’m sure you will too! What do you think of this collection?

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Spellbinders, Magnolia; chipboard cake: Wycinanka.pl; sequins, ribbon, lace: my stash.

That’s all for today, I wish you a safe and happy summer time – see you soon!

Hello, dear Maja friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

The weather this winter is very weird, no snow or frost, just dull rainy days. It might make you pretty discouraged, and I think there’s no better way to overcome blue feelings than the colour therapy πŸ™‚ And Maja Design’s latest collection, Little Street Cafe, is just perfect for the task, with those juicy purples, yellows and oranges! Today I have a very colourful wedding exploding box to share using these optimistic papers:

I think the flowery pattern of the Always Time sheet is so beautiful! I covered the outside walls of the box with panels of it paired with plaids of the Coffee Al Fresco and Delicious papers:

I tried to mimick the flower bouquet of the paper on the lid of the box:

Inside walls are covered with charming polka dots pattern and tiny flowers:

As exploding boxes often serve as practical (and beautiful at the same time πŸ˜‰ ) means of giving money to the newlyweds, so I usually put pockets on the walls and suggest some goals, like “for a dream journey”, “for a baby crib”, “for the home”, etc.

There’s also a small panel for writing in wishes:

And as usually, there’s a chipboard “cake” in the centre of the box, this time with a couple as the topper:

I like how the colours of this collection complement one another to make a juicy optimistic combo. I think this exploding box would be perfect for a boho-style wedding. What do you think?

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Spellbinders; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; cake: Wycinanka.pl; bling: my stash.

Thank you for visiting today, don’t forget to drop by soon for more inspiration!

Wedding In The Alps

Good morning, dear Maja friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

With November ending, the holiday season is really close and I’m very happy about it, but while it’s still autumn, I wanted to make some non-winter and non-Christmas projects πŸ™‚ However, that doesn’t mean I won’t be using wintery papers! Especially when the latest release, Holiday In The Alps, is so beautiful! And like all Maja collections, it’s versatile enough to be used for other themes than winter and Christmas.

And so I made a… wedding card πŸ™‚

For my card I chose the sand and burgundy colours to make it festively rich. I layered Monochrome sheets beneath the beautiful damask of the top paper. I distressed all the edges for more texture. I also added a vintage label with metallic foil:

Upon such background I placed a layered die-cut wreatch of leaves and filled the centre with sand and burgundy flowers, completed with paper foil straws, vintage ribbon and acrylic crystals:

I also added a chipboard sentiment in the lower corner of the card and covered it with glitter to match the glamour style of the card:

I think the card turned out really nice, the rich damask background and shiny features of foiled and glitter elements. I also like the dimension, of course πŸ™‚

What do you think?

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers, vintage ribbon: Wild Orchid Crafts; die: Joy!Crafts; straws, vintage label, crystals: my stash.

This is my last autumn post, so for the next one I promise to make something more wintery πŸ™‚

See you soon!

Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

Summer has traditionally been a wedding season and so wedding cards have been in great demand too.Β  I like to keep a small stash of cards just in case, and therefore today I’m sharing two cards that differ by the colour only:

I kept the design pretty simple, so it would be easy to recreate the card in any colour – I used neutral sand as the background for the stencil heart shape filled with flowers:

I also included a layer of patterned paper, choosing the Comfy sheet from the Denim&Girls collection, as it perfectly corresponds to the leafy heart motif:

I completed the design with acrylic opalescent hearts some cheesecloth and an embossed chipboard sentiment:

The same is true for the other card in the turqouise palette:

In the Denim&Friends collection you will find the Jeans&T-shirt paper that has the same leafy pattern but in turqouise πŸ˜‰

And I really like the dimension the flowers give:

I like the way they turned out: simple, yet elegant and delicate. What do you think?

Here’s what I used:

Other: stencil: Agateria; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Scrapiniec; acrylic hearts, string, cheesecloth: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!
