Hello Maja Design fans! It’s Irene here with you all today. Have you seen the new and gorgeous, “Enjoying Outdoor” collection by Maja Design? Recently, I’ve received this collection and instantly fell in love with it.

Therefore, I’ve started playing with it by creating this little bookmark. My daughter, Chloe, had asked me for a bookmark for a while now. The colors in this collection are some of Chloe’s favorites. With that, I’ve decided to go ahead and create this bookmark for her.

This is a very simple bookmark. Here are some close-ups on it.

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a set of cards made with the new collection “Enjoying Outdoors”.

Card1511_PB

I kept the cards simple.
I die-cut a design in semi-plain papers (“Colourful” and “Spending Time”), distressed the edge before gluing them to the card’s base.

Card1511_detail0_PB

I die-cut the roses in the “Scent of Lavender” paper and ink the edge, the smaller flowers were die-cut in an left-over paper and the leaves in”Woodland” and “Beautiful trees”.

Card1511_detail1_PB

I glued the different elements with 3D Matte Gel. To finish the card, I added microbeads and  splatters of watered gesso.

Card1511_detail2_PB

Same work for this card, but I used some manufactured flowers.

Card1511_detail3_PB

I don’t know if you have notice that at the bottom of each sheet of paper of Maja Design, there is a border with some text or just a drawing. This borders are perfect to add a title or a decorative element to your projects. The sentiment here came from the “Picking Flowers” paper.

Winter is knocking on the door…

Here in the northern Europe it is still autumn and we can still enjoy quite bright days outside and be amazed by all the autumn-like colours the nature brings. However, the winter is knocking on the door and will soon embrace us with white snow, coldness and crispy air. Nothing bad about that, I love winter time..! Go sledding with the kids, make beautiful things in the fine, white snow – like snow angels, caves to cuddle in and snowmen with carrots as noses.. And then, head inside to enjoy a nice cup of warm chocolate in front of the fire place.. I think you really enjoy being inside more, when it’s chilly outside – actually you enjoy both worlds even more. ♥

Our newest collection is taking us outside to hang with the snowmen, meet the reindeer and say a quick hello at the mysterious old man with the white, long beard who has arrived with a huge sack on his shoulder…
We watch the snowflakes fall from the sky, in all it’s different shapes and sizes.
We head inside, to warm ourselves in front of the stove, as we’re baking some gingerbreads to enjoy later on. During the evening we’re munching on our freshly baked pastries while we’re wrapping some presents for our beloved ones.. We are wallowing in different patterns and beautiful lacings.

You wanna join? Welcome! ♥

This collection will soon show up in a store near you..

Goodmorning to you lovely followers,

Today I would like to show you two boy’s layouts I made with two Maja Design collections such as the Nyhavn and Life by the Sea. On one layout I only used the Life by the Sea collection and on my other layout I combined the two. First layout is very clean and simple for me and it shows that you can definitely use flowers on a boy’s layout at least that’s what I think. This is a layout with pictures of our handsome boy “Kevin”

Lately I just love to scrap the color orange and this collection has one of sheet in it which I use over and over. Because it’s such a rich orange color. Our boy doesn’t want to take pictures anymore but sometimes he makes his mom very happy and says mom “if you want to take pictures of me I am ready for it” I never say no at this point in his life.

For my second layout I have to tell you a little story. I couple of months ago my hubby and I went to pick up our boy from his parents because he slept over. My hubby went in military close what I really don’t like to walk next to but okay it’s his body right? So when I opened my mailbox the next day my father in law had send us a email with a adorable picture of him when he was just a little boy in a marine suit. So if you know me a little I had to scrap it.

Aren’t they just the cutest little marines you’ve ever seen the lower picture is one of him and his brother my hubby’s uncle. I had so much fun scrapping these pictures. The blue flowers I made myself. That barb wire you see on the outside of my page is a awesome die by Cheery Lynn Designs. On the base {the gray sheet} I did some stamping, misting and pasting with a new design stencil by TCW called Mini Nautical Chains.

Hello, today I am here to share with you a LO I did, using photos, of some of my favorite plants, I use in my garden. The color of our home is in the rust tones, so that is why I go with the rusty orange tones with purples. Last week we just finished putting the garden to rest for the winter, so now I guess, I will be spending a lot more time Scrapbooking….

Chipboard used is from Dusty Attic

Shows distressed paper layers, that I inked the edges. I also did some hand stitching. On the film strip I used Dusty Attic rusting powder (this is pretty close to the color of our home). I first painted the leafy scroll with clear crackle, then played with LuminArt H2O’s to add the color. The tiny roses are I am Roses….

I used the journaling tags for the title….

The first,2nd, plus the 5th photo used in the film strip are of ,Petunia Autumn Mystery. It is a new plant out for 2015,& I love how every flower is different on this plant going from the purple to orange tones.

I also use lots of purple fountain grass, I love it when the sun is behind it, & how it moves with a breeze. Another fav is Coleus Sedona, because of the rust color that has a purple hue in it.

With having the garden at rest, I also spent many hours on planning the garden for 2016, & I am looking forward to the changes that I have made.

Here are a couple Baby cards I made using the Vintage Baby Collection….

My last post I did a photo tut on the easel card. I scanned the chipboard used on both cards, printed it on regular paper, attached that to the Maja papers, using a non permanent, sticky tape. I then cut out the pieces, inked the edges & glued them onto the chipboard.
