Some days ago I received the new Christmas papers from the “Home for the Holidays” collection, and I felt totally in love with the lovely colours in the papers. Today I have made a Christmas card with some of the blue tone papers.

Together with the new papers I have used an image of a traditional Norwegian gnom. In Norwegian he is called “nisse” and he is known for that he guards all the farm animals. In old days they always placed a bowl of rice porridge for him outdoors on Christmas Eve, and if he didn’t get the porridge he played tricks on the farmer.

Today it’s only 1 month left to Christmas, enjoy this day! Hugs from Heidi

Hello dear Maja friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you today. Do you have your favourite crafting themes? I absolutely do! I love making baby stuff and also love doing christmas projects. And sometimes I love to challenge myself by creating the non-traditional coloured projects. This is how I started creating this card. I was thinking about the shabby style in christmas and the pink color just popped in my mind and then resulted in this card.maja_nov_pink_petzer

I love the little beads that made perfect accents in this cut. The die cuts in white and the lovely chipboard helped me to showcase the Maja Papers.

I have mixed some scraps of paper that I have in my leftovers and they were from different collections, I was just pulling them by color. That’s another reason why I love Maja Design papers -they are so easy to mix and match. I have used here Coffee in the Arbour collection

and this sheet with mittens

Have a lovely cozy day,

Courage Layout by Irene Tan 1

Hello Maja Design fans! It’s Irene here with you all today. I realized that I’ve not shared a layout with you all for sometime already. Therefore, for today’s post, I would like to share a layout featuring Maja Design’s “Walking in The Forest” collection.

To create this layout, I’ve chosen most of the neutral tones with a hint of blues and orange. To add a splash of colors to this layout, I’ve misted its background with some blues and browns.

To add some different elements to this layout, I’ve used some acrylic and chipboard pieces. The burlap flowers also adds tons of textures to this layout.

Hello Maja Friends , Elena is here today to share with you the card I made using new collection – Home for the Holidays.

MittenCard_ElenaOlinevich_MajaDEsign

So snowy, so wintery, so magical is this collection for me. Absolutely in love with it.

So I decided to enjoy paper and die-crafting and created this cute card with mittens – my must have every winter.

CardMitten_ElenaOLinevich_MajaDesign

It was quite easy to combine the papers with each other, so I made some snow on the background cutting the papers on the waves,

MittensCard_Closeups_ElenaOLinevich

wrappaed the mittens with jute trim and fabric pompon ribbons

But what I really like most of all about this collection – is the snowman. This was one of the main winter attribute for me when I was a child and I cut the picture of it to place it as an image and the greeting too.

Now it’s time to wait when the snow comes to my place and after start making the snowman with the kids.

Products used: Waiting for the Holiday – paper pad 6*6, My Favorite Things and Marianne Design dies, Martha Stuart punch, May Arts Jute trim.

Christmas Carols in the Snow

Hello Everyone <3

Today I’m here with a little extra Christmas inspiration to you <3

About two weeks ago I made a box with 8 sides. I made the box my self using thick cardbord also known as chipboards 12×12. When I made this box I would give it a little extra Christmas spirit <3

On the side of the box, I used a Martha Stewart Punch called Eyelet Lace, this is a new personal favorite of mine. The snowflakes are a dies set from Tim Holtz called Mini Snowflake. The set is two snowflakes, and on my box I have placed some of them on top each other. I also decorated these with snow from a box and plastic snow.

The lid of the box is also cut out from chipboards and both sides have patterned paper, even at the edges. The top lid I’ve covered with alot of snow from a box and snow made from plastic. I have made my self a  little Christmas story on the top. Christmas Carols in the Snow <3

On the lid I’ve used several dies from Tim Holtz. The Christmas tree in the background is put together with a dies named Evergreen <3 The Deer is from a set with two, called Reindeer Fligthe and the pair where the lady sings and the man plays, named Victorian Carolers. The other details are mushrooms, packages with some bullfinks. The bullfinks is a dies from kaBoks.

The Christmas tree is made from 16 trees that two and two are glued together. This is to get the patterned paper on both sides. In the tree you can see that I have used several Bullfinch.

Below the tree I have 3 red mushrooms and on the other side you’ll find a deer.

The packages I’ve put together myself without a tutorial. Also these are covered with snow and two of them I have placed some birds on.

When you remove the lid, you will see that I have covered the inside with patterned paper and pearl string.

The idea for the project I got when I saw the dies set with the lady and the gentleman from Tim Holtz. I just knew I had to make one project with this and give them the right Christmas atmosphere they deserve <3

For this box I have used paper from different collection from Maja Design:

I wish you all a great weekend <3
