Hello Everyone <3

Today I’m here with a little extra Christmas inspiration to you <3

About two weeks ago I made a box with 8 sides. I made the box my self using thick cardbord also known as chipboards 12×12. When I made this box I would give it a little extra Christmas spirit <3

On the side of the box, I used a Martha Stewart Punch called Eyelet Lace, this is a new personal favorite of mine. The snowflakes are a dies set from Tim Holtz called Mini Snowflake. The set is two snowflakes, and on my box I have placed some of them on top each other. I also decorated these with snow from a box and plastic snow.

The lid of the box is also cut out from chipboards and both sides have patterned paper, even at the edges. The top lid I’ve covered with alot of snow from a box and snow made from plastic. I have made my self a  little Christmas story on the top. Christmas Carols in the Snow <3

On the lid I’ve used several dies from Tim Holtz. The Christmas tree in the background is put together with a dies named Evergreen <3 The Deer is from a set with two, called Reindeer Fligthe and the pair where the lady sings and the man plays, named Victorian Carolers. The other details are mushrooms, packages with some bullfinks. The bullfinks is a dies from kaBoks.

The Christmas tree is made from 16 trees that two and two are glued together. This is to get the patterned paper on both sides. In the tree you can see that I have used several Bullfinch.

Below the tree I have 3 red mushrooms and on the other side you’ll find a deer.

The packages I’ve put together myself without a tutorial. Also these are covered with snow and two of them I have placed some birds on.

When you remove the lid, you will see that I have covered the inside with patterned paper and pearl string.

The idea for the project I got when I saw the dies set with the lady and the gentleman from Tim Holtz. I just knew I had to make one project with this and give them the right Christmas atmosphere they deserve <3

For this box I have used paper from different collection from Maja Design:

I wish you all a great weekend <3

Hi my friends and welcome to Maja Design. These papers truly lend themselves to layering  … For example : at the top of my layout I have created a mini collage by using strips of paper and diecuts. I began with my foundation of a base strip,  2 inches wide, which I have added a border punched strip  layered over the top and then finished off with an even  thinner strip. These are all machine stitched together with black cotton. I added a mixture of blooms in similar hues and I chose to cut some Frojdefull jul  with diecuts to create even more dimension to my mini collage strip .  I have such a magical time creating with these amazing papers. This layout is special to me as I have used a photo of my ‘darling grandie’ . Ella J.

I really love to create pages where ‘you’, the viewer wants to touch, feel and run your fingers over the layers and look closely, spying something different each time you glance at my work. I love to create interest and intrigue while also giving dimension to my work. Stamping is something I really love. Sometimes a stamp fills a space perfectly . So quick and easy, making the whole layout blend together gloriously.

Tucked amongst the Green Tara  blooms, I have added some inked chipboard. A tiny frame and a funky Dandelion bloom. I sliced the frame in half and I poked one half amongst the blooms and the other half is added to the diecut cluster on the right side of the mounted photo. I combined some Christmas papers with the Vintage Summer Basics.

Hello! Elena is here with you and today I want to share with you a Summer layout, inspired by amazing summer photos and no doubt, I used Vintage Summer Basics Collection

SummerBasicbyElenaMD

Surely this is the most beautiful paper collection I’ve ever seen, however I decided to play with some paints and added some accents on this 1905 paper sheet.

I have teared some papers for my photo padding (1936, 1920, 1910) and made some random stitching of the title cut from the patterned papers

and I added some script stamping and flowers to embellish my Layout

rosesand I can not resist using lace there as it reminds me about feminine accent that should definitely be there.

GrassClump

and one more Layout I want to share with you today was made for 2Crafty Chipboard blog, but as it is filled with many Christmas papers I decided to show it too

MajaPost

I wanted to make something different from traditional cutting and gluing the papers, so I stitched, stamped and painted as usual I do while creating something. I used Fröjdefull Jul ( Julklappar)  and Gammaldags Jul collections ( Goder afton, Pyntat och fint)

I made some tearing of  the stripes

Titlenew

and some fussy cutting from Ringdans paper

Thank you for watching me today and have a good day.

Good day to all Maja Friends. Elena is here to share some new project with you. Well, Christmas  holidays have passed, but I am sure you have many photos taken during this wonderful time . And of course, Mini album is the best decision to keep those memories.

Maja Design has so many Christmas/Winter collections to try, that it was a dilemma for me which one to choose. Anyway I decided to combine some of them as they complement each other quite well.

Acrilic_Maja_Main

I used Acrylic Binder from Clear Scraps as I wanted to keep transparency effect as long as the icy look too

Acrylic_Maja_MainStand

I have cut the running children from Ringdans paper of  Fröjdefull Jul collection and made some fussy cutting of Vines from Julbukett  paper. and surely my signature – some stamping and acrylic paints on the cover

Maja_AcrylicPage_Main

I place all the photos on the acrylic pages that were colored using the stencils and acrylic paint with mica. I love the idea that you can see the next page through the acrilic too and it adds extra decoration to it as well.

Page2_Acrylic_Maja

I left some pages without photos, as I ‘m going to present it to my Mum and she will add the photos herself or will make some notes on the papers. That is why I resisted the desire to add some textured elements and left just stamping and a small amount of modeling paste.

PAge3_Acrylic_Maja

I wanted to choose just red -white colors but I didn’t noticed how I have added pink and peach colors, but I suppose the result is quite amazing

The stripes and the dots – really cute, isn’t it?

Page5_Acrylic_Maja

You know, after I cut my backgrounds papers I had many leftovers and I decided to use them as decorations for my pages. Some of them were torn into thin stripes

and finally the last pages

What a great mixture of colors, though it is a boy page

and some close ups on my techniques

and for the back page I used Gammaldags Jul Collection and its Tradition Paper
