Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer here with you today. Sometimes when you see the collection, you have a certain association with it. So for me Nyhavn collection is strongly associated with the Masculine scrapbooking. Always when I play with it I am finishing with some masculine projects.

This time its 2 cards for a man.

Some tips when working with the men’s projects:

  • add some dark colors as the main accents
  • use some metal embellishments
  • flair buttons, wash tape, clock, star embellishments will always look appropriate

and the second card from the same collection:

Hello, dear friends! How are you doing? I hope the New Year is treating you well. It’s Nancy here today. I’m thrilled to join you on the Maja Design Blog on this lovely Friday. I don’t actually have the winter blues-lol. I am, however, totally and completely obsessed with the color blue. Sometimes I’ll go a couple of weeks favoring a certain color, and this week it is blue. Does that ever happen to you?

This is no problem when you have Maja Design papers. They have a fabulous assortment of blues to choose from. Today I’m using Vintage Autumn Basics to bring to life this sequestered garden.

The base papers are distressed, layered, and stitched. A script stamp adds interest to the upper corner if the card. Two ovals layered on foam adhesive provide a backdrop for the bench. The blue paper roses and leaves are handmade using the paper collection.

Hello our blog fans. Today I would like to present my first inspiration.  I love vintage and shabby chic style. I’m a big fan of layers, laces and chipboards.  Cards are one from my favourite type of projects to create. Here is my today’s inspiration :
Card by Padoriaa

Papers from the collection called “Vintage Romance” fits perfectly to my project.  I pick few papers and started to prepare the composition. Next was to added some flowers, metal embellishments and chipboard. Cut out elements from the paper and use them like the central point of my card.

Flowers together with ribbon and laces. Many tiny elements together.

Vintage stamp with perfect sentence.  Here I used different shades of ink to stamp. It look really nice instead of using a black ink.

My cards are full of  layers and elements but I always try to make them light. It’s not easy, it takes time  but I love the final result.

In the end I applied white gesso and splash it with white and gold paint.

I will list you the specific papers at the end of the post.

I have coloured the Magnolia image Italy Tilda from the Stamp & Cutz CM-16. She is coloured with Distress Ink, re-inkers and Markers. I have tried to use the same colours that you find in the papers. The colour of the dress is Bundled Sage.

The cute little butterflies are cut out from a Vintage Spring Basic pattern paper. I have just inked them on the edges with Distress Ink pad, Walnut Stain; as all the paper edges. The heart tags are made with a Doohickey from Magnolia, others are made mostly with dies from the DooHickey box vol 9, Fairytale.

Some new texts on my tags this time, they are from the Norwegian magazine Ett Trykk, Norsk Stempelblad. I have been chosed to be one of their guest designers for 2017. There will be six magazine this year, and in each you will among many others find some of my cards. And ofcourse I use my Maja papers 😉

The tags are made with Bazzill Kraft and I have added some Maja papers to finish the cute look 🙂 The shape of my card is made with a GoKreate die. The lovely laces are from the shop LLC, the same as my doilies. And as you see I have coloured with white Gesso here and there.

Goodmorning Maja friends,

Today I am here with you all to show you a card I made with the lovely “Vintage Baby”collection! I am getting more and more addicted to that collection because of the soft colors and that you have both blue & pink sheets in it. For today it’s a baby boy card with handmade flowers and a rattle shaker with metal pieces in it {also some beads and glass glitter}

I cut out different pieces of the blue & darker brown papers and placed them on top of each other to get more dimension, underneath the last layer I added some cheese cloth and a paper doily that I cut in half. The card is all made out of dies from a manufacturer I design for. Sorry for the different shades in the pictures but we have some bad weather and my camera is acting up!

What is great about using dies is that you can make your own flowers and you don’t have to worry about the colors not fitting well on your work. I always had a problem finding the perfect blue shade color for my work and now that problem is being solved by making my own flowers. Maja Design papers really allows you to make beautiful paper flowers from their collections because of the high quality & thickness of the papers.

Actually I used three other Maja Design collections here too, the blue flowers are made with “Nyhavn”collection! The flower with the beads in the center is made with the “Vintage Romance” collection and the feathers & leaves are from the “Vintage Summer Basics” collection and they all go so well together don’t you think so too??

Maja Design papers used: Vintage Summer Basics: 1905 bs, Nyhavn: Old Townhouses bs, Vintage Romance: Marriage proposal bs, Vintage Baby: It’s a boy bs, Adorable bs, Special Delivery bs & Die cuts bs
