Hello, our blog fans. For the previous inspiration, I have created two childish cards. Today I would like to show you another project – this time I created a card box in the same style. It will be a gift for a Baptism.

I did not create the paper box from the scratches – I’m not so patient. I bought a ready base from a polish producer called GoatBox. The base is really easy to fold and then decorate. Paper came from the Maja’s “Vintage Baby” Collection. I love all type of delicate pattern and pastel colors, recently.

This time I added some structure paste. I didn’t want to make many layers. I have chosen only some chipboards from Scrapiniec and paper flowers. Kept it as simple as possible (I did my best!)

I hope you enjoyed today’s post. If you have any question – don’t hesitate to ask! I wish you a wonderful day. Hugs, Paulina

Welcome Maja friends!

Spring has started and everywhere you can see snowdrops, crocus and winterlings.

The first signs of spring have reached us.

So I was inspired to create a layout in delicate pastel shades.

I have used one of my favorite collections for my layout, the  Maja Design ‘Vintage Spring’ collection

and chose ‘1st of April ‘ and ‘6th of May’.

Vintage-Spring-Basics-P

some close up’s

I covered some chippies with Heavy Gel and added some small Mini Art Stones.

As always, I hope you will be inspired and enjoyed how I built up the layers with corrugated cardboard

to create the dimension on this piece.

If you do need any further inspiration, then look no further than our blog to see all the wonderful creations

from all the very talented Design Team members.

Happy sunday !

Happy birthday!

Hi everyone! It’s Camilla here today, showing you a card made with the wonderful Summertime papers.

I have made a birthday card, and used a lot of dies. The cake in the middle is made with a Magnolia die, using kraft cardstock and beautiful Summertime papers.

The white spots are Frantage.

The small butterfly is cut out from a Vintage Spring sheet.

The beautiful texts are from Stempelglede. I have stamped them with Memento – Rich cocoa.

Here you get a closer look at the papers and small details. The flowers are also cut out with Magnolia dies. I have added some Sisal grass under them, and painted with white Gesso here and there. The two stamps are Maja Papers cut out with a die. I ink the edges with Walnut Stain.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog today!

With love,

Happy March everyone!

Here in Scandinavia March means winter is slowely releasing it’s grip of the Season and as the days get longer nature whispers the promise of Spring’s arrival.
We would like to celebrate this wonderful time of the year with a Mood board Challenge filled with excitement of spring. So bring out your craft stash, find some MajaDesign sheets of the right colors and join in! You have the chance to win a whole MajaDesign collection and as always you are free to pick your own favourite. This is your inspiration for this challenge:

This is how we use the mood boards:
Definition mood board – n
[a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other]

We truly believe in creativity and art at Maja Design and you are free to interpret the Mood board in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. However – we highly recommend you to follow the theme.. Feel free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme. You can use all of the colors, or only one of them – that’s up to you.

How to participate?

♥ Create anything you like – a layout, a card, something altered or maybe a canvas. Use MajaDesign papers primarily!

♥ Take a nice picture of it and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu. Please send us the pictures in the size of 800 pixels on the width. We would be so grateful if you also could change the file name of the photo to your first and last name including your country.

♥ We also need to know your full name, address and a phone number. Please specify what collection you would like to win, if you are the lucky one. We will also want to know if you would like it in the size 12*12 or 6*6, thank you.

♥ Feel free to send us more than one picture, from different angles or some close-ups – or why not more than one project?

♥ Publish the project/s on your blog (or/and any social media, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) with a link to our site. Please also add the image of the mood board.

♥ Feel free to combine your entry with other challenges.

♥ The winner will be revealed on the 28th, at the MajaDesign blog. The winner will be sent one collection by their choice, and also a digital Winner’s Badge to use and brag with.

We need your entry by the 24th of March at the latest.
