Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Ah, masculine projects! Who finds them easy to make? Even being the only woman in the house doesn’t make me any smarter. But luckily Maja Design has one of the best masculine papers and therefore Deim&Friends is my all-time favourite 🙂 And since we are going to celebrate Boy’s Day soon (in Poland it’s on September 30th), I decided to make some masculine cards.

I was inspired by the Snapshots paper from the collection, in which you can see the torsos, but not the faces – and having a men’s outfits dies in my collection, I thought it would be fun to follow the pattern 🙂 And it was, really, a great fun to put pieces together like in the old days of making paper dolls!

The first card is more elegant and would be perfect for birthday or graduation. I assembled a suit with a shirt and bowtie and placed it upon the background that reminds me of a pattern on my husband’s silk scarf. Then I added some glam with midnight blue glitter on the chipboard sentiment:

The other card would be great for a teenager, a birthday or congratulations card:

I die cut pieces to assemble a casual shirt and die-cut the number in it. Then I added a signature strip with the words “You rock”, a star charm and a sentiment matted with metallic copper cardstock:

And I really like the way the cards turned out – simple, but fun and with a touch of glam, as who likes to shine more than our men? 😉

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Marianne Design, Sizzix, Rosy Owl; chipboard: Scrapiniec; string, charm: my stash.

What about you? Do you like making masculine projects or suffer if you have to make them?

See you soon!

Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Summer has traditionally been a wedding season and so wedding cards have been in great demand too.  I like to keep a small stash of cards just in case, and therefore today I’m sharing two cards that differ by the colour only:

I kept the design pretty simple, so it would be easy to recreate the card in any colour – I used neutral sand as the background for the stencil heart shape filled with flowers:

I also included a layer of patterned paper, choosing the Comfy sheet from the Denim&Girls collection, as it perfectly corresponds to the leafy heart motif:

I completed the design with acrylic opalescent hearts some cheesecloth and an embossed chipboard sentiment:

The same is true for the other card in the turqouise palette:

In the Denim&Friends collection you will find the Jeans&T-shirt paper that has the same leafy pattern but in turqouise 😉

And I really like the dimension the flowers give:

I like the way they turned out: simple, yet elegant and delicate. What do you think?

Here’s what I used:

Other: stencil: Agateria; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Scrapiniec; acrylic hearts, string, cheesecloth: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!

Hello Maja Friends, today I am here with you to share the cards I ‘ve made recently.

I still enjoy playing with Denim and Girls collection.

So feminine and girly, so boho and chic – just everything that I love.

This time I’ve added some gold accents and embellished with boho style elements – such as macrame and dream catcher die cuts.

I made a video tutorial of my process so you can check it.

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

In some countries the first adult birthday comes when you turn 21, but in many, Poland including, it’s as early as 18. It’s usually an occasion to throw a big party and celebrate entering adulthood while still being entitled to behave like a teenager 🙂 And it’s a great occasion to give a handmade card too, isn’t it?

I was really happy when my all-time favourite collection Denim&Friends got its girly partner 🙂 I love the images sheet, the colours and patterns that refer to and complete the masculine papers. And to celebrate this new addition to the Maja paper family I decided to make the cards with these two collections. Both feature images in the centre of design and navy blue accents.

The girl’s version adds a touch of pink and a bit of glamour with crystal gems and the digits cut out from gold metallic mirror cardstock:

In the card for a boy I added some steampunk elements also die-cut from gold cardstock. Just as in the girl’s card I incorporated the “You’re a star” phrase – in the previous card it was printed in the background paper, here it’s a snippet of the signature strip:

I really like the way the cards turned out – simple but pleasant to the eye 🙂 What do you think?

And here’s what I used:

Maja Desing papers:

Other: dies: Rosy Owl, Joy! Crafts; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; crystals: Prima.

And when do you celebrate the first adult birthday in your country?

Hello Maja fans!

Today, I would like to share a new layout made for my June inspiration using papers from the gorgeous ”Denim & Girls” & ”Denim & Friends” collections. I’ve also used 49 and Market flowers, Dusty Attic chipboard, lace and Finnabair moulds to embellish my page and achive a romantic and elegant feeling.

As always I found my photo on Pinterest and before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

I used the ”Worn Indigo” paper and made a layer on the half bottom side of it with the ”Loose Fit” paper.  To start, I applied a coat of clear gesso and then, I created texture with an icing paste and a stencil. When the paste dried, I randomly stamped and used a Lindy’s Gang spray to add color.

Next, I painted the chipboard with a Finnabair acrylic paint.
Then, I layered all the gorgeous elements around my photo and added in some 49 and Market flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Until next time happy crafting!
