Winter Joy LO with Video Tutorial
2 Write a commentHello Hello!
I created this pretty wintry page using Maja’s beautiful paper collection, Home for the Holidays.
I chose a blue, cream and brown color scheme to achieve that winter feel.
I have a Video Tutorial to share showing you step by step how to create this page for yourself.
Here a close up showing torn paper layers and a few embellishments…
I hope you enjoy the Video!

Today, I’m up on Maja Design with a winter page.
I began to cover the background page with clear gesso. When dry, I did some random stamping and added black bister. To prevent the bister from reacting afterward, I sprayed a fixative on the whole page before continuing.
I added more colors to the background with differents Twinkling H2Os. With a stencil and white crackle paste, I added also a design, which I covered with white Art Sugar while the paste was still wet.
I colored the die-cut leaves and branches with Twinkling H2Os too.
I distressed the papers under the photo and lightly inked the edges.
I used 3D Matte Gel to glue all the elements to the background.

2 Write a commentHello Maja friends,
I just can’t believe it’s 2016 already 2015 flew bye so fast. It was a great year for me scrappy wise and I know for sure 2016 is going to be too although it started of on the wrong foot due to health problems. Hopefully it will go better soon because I miss my scrapbook room very much. Today I had some time in there and created this layout for today’s post. For this layout I used the beautiful newest collection “Home for the Holidays” this collection is so versatile you can use it for many different themed projects.
On this layout I used a bunch of paper layers, Creative Embellishments chipboard and Tresors de Luxe lace to alter the already pretty papers. On the picture you see my two men ice skating a couple of years back when it was still cold and freezing in January for this year it’s a very warm winter with still temperatures above 5 degrees and someday’s above 8 degrees. I have to say I really love that because I’m not a fan of winter although it makes great layouts.
All the chipboard pieces were treated with gesso, embossing powders and glitter stickles. I also so used my sewing machine a couple of times to stitch the edges of the papers and picture. I really adore working with my sewing machine because I think it add some much to your work.
Maja Design papers used: A Real Fellow, Friends, Together, Mom’s Gingerbread, Brought you a Gift, Traditions.
I would also like to show you a card I made with the lovely “It’s Christmas Time” collection I know it’s not that time anymore but I would really like to show you.
