Layout

Hello my dear friends! Happy Sunday to all!

It’s Mary here with you today sharing my latest layout made with papers from two of my favourite collections, the ”Sofiero” and the ”Monochromes – shades of Sofiero”.

A soft romantic layout in blue and gold tones that was inspired by the beautiful photo which I found on Pinterest. And, before I continue I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

Close up 1

I used for my background the ”The magnificent Flowerstreet” paper from the ”Sofiero” collection and I made a die cut doily with the ”White/Sand” paper from the ”Monochromes – shades of Sofiero”.

Close up 2

I primed my background with white gesso and when it was dried, I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil. Then, I colored my page using Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays ”Baby Blue Eyes Aqua” and ”Hydrangea Blue”.

Close up 3

I heat embossed the ”Ada’s Flourishes” 2Crafty chipboard with ”King Midas Gold” Lindy’s embossing powder. The title was also embossed with the ”Madonna Rabe Blue” powder. The title chipboards I used are 13arts and all the flowers and embellishments are Prima Marketing.

To finish, I added some copper micro beads with gel medium and made some splatters with white acrylic artists ink.

That’s all for today, my friends!

Hello there, dear Visitors to the Maja Design blog!

Do you remember the First Communion exploding box I shared last time? That was a girl version, and I decided I need a boy verion as well 😉 And so I selected some blue and brown papers and here it is:

mdboxb

I used the Summertime papers – and believe it or not, my choice was mainly because of this gorgeous roses paper I chose for the box sides 🙂 Just look how beautiful it is! I also added some Sofiero papers as the collections go well together 🙂

mdboxb1

I selected flowers in matching colour for the box lid:

mdboxb2

The inside of the box is mostly the same as the girl’s box:

And so there’s the stamped boy image with the cross and flower cluster:

mdboxb4

…the strip of paper for sliding in money:

mdboxb5

…and a chipboard chalice decorated with flowers:

Maja Design papers are perfect for elegant or formal occasions, their subtle, classic designs and delicate colour palettes perfectly match the chosen theme. I really like how this boy box turned out!

I used the following supplies:

Other: stamps: Whiff of Joy, Lemonade; chipboard: Scrapiniec, Anemone; dies: Magnolia, Spellbinders; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; Distress inks, glitter: Ranger;  wax string, bling, washi tape: my stash.

See you later!

Smell the roses while you walk through The Rose Paths of Sofiero… I love to read description of the papers… Sofiero is my favourite lately. It’s a time of the year when we are creating wedding cards and for sure I will use Sofiero collection combine with Monochrome more often.

Sofiero - Wedding Cards

I moved to Norway for a while and didn’t take many scrapbooking stuff. I had to choose the most useful tools, chipboards, dies, media and add-ons.  It was not easy desicion but I think I did a good job. I will check it out during my creating project this summer. Today’s card are full of small layers. I love to pluck the paper and then add  the layers one by one. Between each  I try to add small details 🙂

Sofiero - Wedding CardsIt’s good to know what kind of style we like and what we expect in the final result. My plan was to have cards in a shabby chic style. I think I did it – just added a  little bit of my style too.

Sofiero-Wedding CardsSofiero-Wedding CardsChipboards from Scrapiniec fits here perfectly! They are super white and really high quality.  Small roses  and the pictures in the background are cut from the die cut sheet.

Sofiero-Wedding CardsYou don’t need to have many thing to create. Paper is the most important and the rest is just you creativity.  Hope you like my project. Hugs, Paulina

Hi there Maja fans! I hope you have had a wonderful May so far! Here the weather is so nice, it has been sunny and warm. So lovely! As you might know, I live in the western part of Norway where it is raining all the time, so a bit sun is much needed:) Ok, I will tell you a bit about my card. I made it for my cousin’s baby, by the beautiful name Bjørk.

Sofiero-K

I have used papers fom the new Sofiero collection, and also added two postmarks with images from the Vintage Baby collection. I have used a postmark stamp on them from Stempelglede with white embossing powder.

The image is from Magnolia, and the text is from Stempelglede. The flowers are from WOC and Kort og Godt.

Good morning, Maja friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

May is traditionally the month of First Communions in Poland, so I’m making a lot of cards and other gifts these days. And today I have an exploding bozx to share that I made, as money is still quite a popular gift, and there’s no more elegant way of giving money than an exploding box 🙂

mdboxg

As you can see, I used the beautiful Sofiero collection – its delicate patterns and subtle colour palette are simply perfect for the occasion. I decorated the box lid with flowers in matching colours:

After opening, the box reveals the contents:

I decorated on of the sides with a stamped girl image that I hand-coloured with Distress inks, and a chipboard cross with the flower cluster – I die-cut hte  vine leaves from the green paper of the Monochrome pad – I just love this addition!

mdboxg3

There’s also a space for writing in wishes, and a dimensional chipboard chalice, decorated with another flower cluster:

…and the band for sliding in a roll of banknotes 😉

mdboxg4

I really like the way the papers go with flowers and embellishments, giving a soft and delicate look. Now I only need a box for a boy! 🙂

Here’s what I used:

Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec, Anemone; stamps: Whiff of Joy, Lemonade; dies: Magnolia, Spellbinders; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; Distress inks, glitter: Ranger;  wax string, bling, washi tape: my stash.

And what is your idea for the First Communion gift?

See you soon!
