Goodmorning Maja Design Fans,

Welcome to this lovely blog today, I am back after being sick with a nasty flue for more then three weeks and I am dreaming to have some warmer weather so for today I made a a summer layout with one of Camilla her daughters on their vacation to Italy last summer. For this layout I used this months mood board colors with the gorgeous “Enjoying outdoors” collection. I also used some of the fancy clocks from the clock sheet from the “Vintage Autumn Basics” collection through out my layout.

I just love the way Camilla takes her pictures most of the time when her girls don’t see it. The chipboards I used are treated with gesso, rust effect paste military set and antique brilliance amethyst magic both by finnabair. All the flowers are by 49 and Market. I got the idea of using my chipboards like this by our very own Tina {thank you for your amazing talent xox}

I used some of the amazing new background 49 and Market stamps 1787 & Flowery Tile designed by our very own Pascale on the Flourishing bs sheet. they I took out my fishnet stencil by Dusty Attic to add on several places on my layout. Underneath my picture & flowers clusters I added some cheese cloth.

After I treated my background I added three horizontal papers strips from the picking flowers sheet and placed the on the top, bottom and just above the bottom to get a flow in my design. And at the end I added some 3d balls and some shells to finish this layout. Did you see the new mood board this Tuesday? If not let me show you again my layout was based on this mood board we sure hope you will play along too…..I for sure can not wait to see your work. <3

Maja Design papers used: Enjoying outdoors collection: Flourishing bs, Picking flowers bs, Having tea in the sun and from the Vintage Autumn Basics collection: no.XVI

Thank you so much for your visit I hope I have inspired you to play with your Maja Design papers you have in you stash or even order new products I have used here.

Love xoxo

Hello Maja friends!

We are still waiting for spring, maybe the easter bunny will bring it along 🙂

Let’s hope for the best!

Three rabbits hid on this spring project, have you already discovered her?

Maybe there are four 😉 ??

I used our wonderful latest ‘Celebration’ collection for this romantic vintage layout.

I love the delicate colours on this sheets, absolutely right for me to create a springtime layout

with a lot of things which make this season so beautiful.

I glued this on a canvas und used it as mural for my springtime home decoration.

a background stencil from Prima with white gesso and green metallic wax

Springtime clear stamps from Viva Decor and chipboards from Scrap FX

beautiful pastel flowers from Prima

a little wooden bird house together with some eggshells under the … 😉 ??

gauze, cutting dies – leaves and butterflies

vintage clockfaces (cut out) from paper sheet No XVI from Vintage Autumn Basics

I wish you and your loved ones a peaceful and
happy easter with a lot of sunshine and warmth!

Glad Påsk!

Hello, and welcome! How is your day going? I’m so happy you’ve joined us at the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy today, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be here with you. While looking through my recent projects, I realized it’s been a very long time since I’ve used one of my favorite collections, Vintage Autumn Basics. The beautiful purples and mauves from this lovely collection always call to me, and are the inspiration for my card.

The papers are so versatile that twine is the only embellishment that is not created from the collection.

The roses and leaves are handmade using design paper. I hope to have a new rose tutorial ready for you on my next post. I meant to have it for you today, but because we have the flu in our home the smallest things (like editing photos) seem insurmountable.  Happily, we are all recovering, so a tutorial will be following shortly.

The layered heart is die cut from design paper, then stitched on the sewing machine and fanned out to create dimension.

The vintage image, sentiment, and flourishes are also from the paper collection. You can see how easy it is to create a card filled with coordinating embellishments with nothing except a pack of Maja Design papers!

A twirly twine bow adds a final frilly touch.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Products Used: Natural Twine, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Dies, Flower Shaping Kit, Flourish Die, Spellbinders Heart Die, Magnolia Rose Leaf Die, Tim Holtz Distress Tool, Sewing Machine, Thread.

Thank you so much for stopping by! It’s a great pleasure and an honor for me to join you on the blog. I hope you have a day filled with sunshine and wondrously joyful moments!

Hugs,

Welcome and a very big hello !

Today I have something beachy for you. Here in Australia Summer is a very special time for our family. Lots of trips to the beach and just getting out and enjoying the beautiful sunshine and our gorgeous beaches. The photo I have used today is of my youngest who just loooooooves the beach. And every chance she gets she will be found digging away in the sand, or mud digging holes or just building sandcastles. I adore this photo of her from back in 2012 at a holiday gettaway in Forster, New South Wales. Again she is digging away and very much caught up in the moment !

Autumn-Basics-P

Since the togs she was wearing are a navy blue I decided to keep with these colours and add some neutral tones and have kept it very earthy. I have only used a little media being distress inks and gesso along with Rust Paste.

2017-11-20 2017-11-20 001 019 (600x800)

My starting point was tearing up my sheet of Vintage Autumn Basics and layering it using both sides along with some Dusty Attic corrugated board. These pieces were laid over the top of Vintage Autumn Basics and then primed with some clear gesso. I did some drying brushing with white gesso to give that whitewashed beachy look and also did some splatterings of white.

2017-11-20 2017-11-20 001 022 (800x600)

I have used some new Dusty Attic release beach chipboards, lots of 49andMarket Floral Mixology and Garden Seeds flowers along with some seashells to help with my embellishing of the page.

2017-11-20 2017-11-20 001 024

The chipboards were dressed in gesso and I randomly applied rust paste let it dry for a few moments and rubbed the rust paste until the colour bleed into the gesso.

Well that is all from me today, I do hope I have inspired you in some way big or small to create something this week for yourself! Enjoy the time you create and happy scrapping.

Hi Everyone,

Its Keren here and I created a layout for Maja Design using the new Denim & Friends collection. I used the “Worn Indigo” paper as the background for the layout as as well as the “No XXI” from the Vintage Autumn Basics collection which really go well together.

I used the blue toned papers from these collections as I wanted to mimic the colors in my picture.

I framed the photo with a chipboard frame which I colored in blue to match the layout and then I added matching blue flowers as well.

I incorporated some gold into the layout because I love the combination of blue and gold.

Here are the papers I used from both collection:

I'm Keren Tamir a self taught scrapbooker, mixed media artist and designer. Since I was a child, I always loved art. I used to doodle on my notebooks and on anything I could get my hands on. Fourteen years ago I discovered scrapbooking and fell in love with it. One of the main reasons I started scrapbooking was to preserve memories and photos for my children. Scrapbooking opened a creative door to something that I had longtime forgotten I'd loved. It gave me peace of heart and mind. visit my blog for more inspiration: https://kerentamir.blogspot.ca
