Hello Maja Friends,

Today I am happy to share with you my layout that I’ve made recently with the brand new Miles Apart collection.

I found pictures taken during Summer 2019, and since 2020 is not the best year for us, I decided to look for the good memories from the last year.

I played with blue and pink tones, though my daughter doesn’t like pink and anything girly, and even made a short hair cut this year, I thought that I keep all my layouts for my memory, so it’s ok to make it soft and feminine.

I made a rectangle die cuts , some of them are from old collection Antligen, as well as some fussy cutting  and created many layers.

I cut out the title from the paper cut outs with the info about Maja Design papers, and I suppose it is a good idea that the paper name is a good title for any of your project, have you used them as I do?

Since the pictures were taken near the fountain so I ‘ve added some watercolor splashes.

Stay Positive for the upcoming winter days.

Goodmorning Maja Design fans,

If you visit the blog regularly you know I love making layouts! I have wanted to scrap this picture for a while now but that mini princess is making it a little difficult to scrap sometimes and I have to find time {while she is sleeping} to create because I really need it. We went to a photographer to make this picture because I wanted one with the four of us in it to put on a canvas to hang on my wall and so we did and I am very happy with it….look at that masculine son of us isn’t he handsome? I really love my little family <3

For this layout I used the pretty ‘Celebration’ collection and two sheets of the monochromes one of the Shades of Sofiero called white/sand and one of the Shades of Celebration called charcoal. On the background behind the pictures I used the monochromes I also used these for the flowers I made using the amazing dies by Cheery Lynn Designs which are still my favs. After having some computer problems {it crashed} oh boy how I dislike it when that happens I am back again….but due to these problems I missed two posts sorry for that….

The monochromes are amazing to make flowers with as I did in this layout…if I have time I will do a little tutorial on how to make the flowers in my layout they are super easy and quick to make. The chipboards are by The Dusty Attic and I treated them with just plain paint and some of them like the barb wire I treated with embossing powder. As you can also see in my layout I used some cheese cloth behind my picture and flowers.

To finish of my layout I added some stamps, art stones, wishing bubbles, and metal pieces and of course my favorite spray “Sidewalk Chalk” on my tittle I used some of the amazing rust paste by Finnabair. With this layout I entered in a moodboard challenge because the colors spoke to me and I knew exactly which papers I could use.

Maja Design papers used: Anniversary bs, You’re Invited, Ephemera bs, Mono Celebration-Charcoal bs, Mono White Sand

I hope you had fun reading my post and we do love to see your work created with the lovely Maja Design papers on the  Facebook site….Have a gorgeous day and I hope to see you soon….

Love

 Hello creative friends!

Autumn is with us and the days are getting shorter and darker.

Best time for a walking through the meadows and forests, all surrounded by colorful autumn leaves.

I was inspired to create a mixed media layout in typical fall colours.

I used some wonderful papers from the ‘Walking in the Forest’ collection, here you can find a lot of  papers in warm earth tones

as well as shades of denim blue and green. I love particularly the nature style in the design collection.

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Continuing the Miles Apart festival 😉 we’re having on the blog, I bring you a layout I made using this beautiful collection:

Having made some smaller projects I shared with you in my previous posts I wanted to make a layout – but believe me, I had the hardest time just choosing the papers! There are so many gorgeous patterns I wanted to show but at the same time I didn’t want to make my page overwhelmed so much that both the photo and papers get lost. I wanted to make it soft and delicate to best compliment the photo of my cousin’s baby daughter. And after much consideration I selected soft blue patterns with a touch of pink flowers against a neutral sand background. First I applied filigree flourishes with a stencil and texture paste:

…then hand-cut some tags:

…then added a chipboard title embossed with crisp white powder:

…and mimicked the printed flower bouquets with dimensional flowers:

I also added powder blue lace to refer to the one in the photo:

I also included some opalescent sequins to add soft shine to my design.

Here’s my list of supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; stencil: Agateria; lace, sequins: my stash.

After all that pain 😉 of picking papers I really like the way it turned out! What do you think?

 Welcome dear Maja friends!

I was inspired to create a new mixed media layout as memory on beautiful summer days on the beach some years ago.

I used some papers from the latest beautiful collection ‘Miles Apart’ and suitable for  Monochromes ‘ Shades of Miles’ in blue shades, blue as the sea and heaven and blue as one of my favourite colours :-).

I worked in vintage style with the single sheet ‘Keeping busy’,

combined with distress brown tones a perfect match for me.

some close up’s

a fitting cluster with chipboards, cutting dies, shells and a blue velvet flower
bubble blowing with stencil and stamps

other materials:

Chipboards from Dusty Attic; cutting dies, stamps, stencil,

Modeling paste, Mini Art Stones (Prima Marketing) ; Distress ink (Ranger)

Thanks for your visit!

Have a good time!
