Hello Maja Friends, Elena is here.

I like doing baby projects. No paints, no flowers – I am joking. Sometimes I like to enjoy only papercrafting. It makes me feel relaxed and concentrate on atrue and initial kind of scrapbooking, I guess.

So today I am sharing an album I made for a baby, for the first `12 months. and I used absolutely not a baby collection, but one of my all time favorite – Life by the Sea.

It seems that I say this every time, no matter what collection I use, but it is true,

I made a lot of die cutting using almost the same dies for the whole album. But anyway, it has been an issue for me how to make an album without flowers, no I know – dies are the question.

So I made a lot of die cutting using the papers from the collection, and trying to keep nautical blue-white brown color combo.

So many photos are coming in this post as well as the video clip if you would like to skip them and turn the pages with me.

I like doing the flaps as well as creating the tags.

Each page is supposed to feature one month for a baby.

I also used some of the negatives left after die cutting I suppose it’s a great way to save on and use all of your paper scraps as well.

I also made a fabric cover and sew some paper pieces on the top of it.

Hello dear friends. Do you like cooking? I used to do it a lot before I have chosen scrapbooking as my main hobby. Anyway, I still like to enjoy the process and mix herbs and souces, but I really want to save more time for scrapping. That is why I keep on doing quite simple food for my family.

My friend recently asked me if I could make her a cook book as she wanted to make a gift for her daughter with all of her favourite recipes she kept in many palces and scrap notes. So I decided to help her and created this recipe book called Mommy’s Recipes.

Main

I made several dividers for the book so that they could distinct the various kind of the recipes. I took Coffee in the Arbour collection. It is my second recipe book I did with this collection, and I feel that I can not stope creating with it.

I enjoyed die cutting and using the die cut negatives. I guess it is a good idea.

The collection has some vintage beautiful pictures, the watercolor images look great, I suppose.

and the papers are so sweet and nice for creating any kind of books or mini albums

I also used the papers on my fabric cover, and made some stitching on it

Hello Maja Friends,

today I have a very special project to share with you.

Actually I prepared another creation for my blog post, but last week my Grandmother has died. She was 90 years old. And before hear death I made a huge family album for one of my friend, for her Granny who had an anniversary. They took all her photos , collected during her life and asked me to make a beautiful album and put it all those old pictures , about 200 of them.

So I didn’t plan to share this album , but I have been thinking a lot about the family and old people these days. I have a stong wish to collect all my family phots and especially of my Granny. I need to make an album for us, to keep her alive in our mind.

So that’s why I would like to share some of the pages from the album I’ve made for my friend. Not all of them, but just some . and you know what, Vintage Autumn Basics is a perfect collection if you want to find a perfect match for the pictures taken late 1890ss and teh first half of 20 century.

This is the picture that shows how large is the album . The pages inside are of 30*30 cm ( 12*12 inches)

I didn’t add many of the embellishments, such as flowers or any dimensional one, as I wanted to keep more space for tons of the photos.

But I made several dies and paper strips.

and made some fussy cutting

The pages look simple, but they show the rich and beautiful Maja papers, so vintage, dark and from those days.

Hi everyone!

My name is Elena and in the scrapbooking world my nickname is Elena Arts.

Elena-Ovchinnikova

I was born in Russia but I have been living in Spain since 2000. I’m married and I have a little daughter who is my muse and the main source of my inspiration.

In 2012 I discovered  Scrapbooking, and all my world changed.

I love creating a lot of beautiful things, especially I find myself in Mixed Media. I love textures, gesso, modelling pastes, paints, sprays, combine fabric with paper…

It is great to be able to do what you really love! I am very happy when I am creating and I feel full of the energy and the creativity in these moments.

I have made a notebook and albom in one. The idea was to create a notebook inspired by Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast with diamonds ” and done in the style Shabby Chick or Vintage.

Inside there are 48 sheets (96 pages) dipped in coffee and 18 sheets (36 pages) decorated for a photos, I also left a few sheets without the decoration. All the papers are from different collections of Maja Design, with their beautiful and elegant prints.

Hello Friends,

I am glad that the weather outside is almost like the spring, so it’s time to get ready for enjoying warm weather, especially at the seaside. I am not a lucky one , I live at the country where there is no sea. and every summer I have a wish to watch the waves and listen to the noise of it. However I enjoy making marine theme projects and here is a cover I made for a baby book.

SeaBoatCoverBook_ElenaOlinevich

I made a try to marry the papers and the fabric, and I guess there is quite a good match, don’t you think?

So I made some die cutting from the papers and used almost the same paper patterns as my fabric has -stars, stripes, and I really love how it has come to.

SeaBoat_MajaDesign_ElenaOlinevich

I made stitching on the fabric and on the papers, and now they look almost the same.
