Goodmorning sweet Maja Design followers,

It’s been ages since my last post and since I have been creative. I have to tell you it feels so good ūüėČ to create again, I have a lot of inspiration luckily! So hopefully you will like my work the next view posts. This is my first layout I made with our precious little girl in the spotlights ‘Abbey Jane’ is her name and she was born on the 15th of July last year, so she is almost turning one. It’s sad that due to the corona virus we have to keep it small but hey she will not remember it anyways lol ….

We feel very blessed that we have such a healthy little girl and she is a very happy baby, we could not have wished for more {our little present} For me this layout is kind of messy but it’s my first one since a long time so I don’t mind that it is. For this layout I used the beautiful “Denim and Girls” collection which I totally adore so more to come for sure. The chipboards I painted and sprayed with different mediums. The background is purely made by using a stencil and some crackle paste.

I am still figuring out how to make the best pictures with my phone still not getting it the way I want to, I think it’s time for me to read the manual for once lol….. but where do I have the time oh oh….because when I do have time I want to scrap. for this layout I used two of my favorite sheets, Ripped Jeans bs and Romantic Blouse:

Hopefully you all liked my first post glad to be back again…..love to see you soon! And I wish you a wonderful day and weekend. Be creative and happy thank you for visiting the blog today ūüėČ

Love

These are treasured memories

Goodmorning Maja Design Fans,

So nice of you to visit the Maja Design blog today, I am back again posting on this lovely blog, it’s been a while since my last post. Hope you did not miss me too much ;-). For today I have a layout to share that I made for a nice lady who contacted me because she wanted to give her parents a present for their 50th year wedding anniversary. I did replace the pictures because she did not wanted them online….on the pictures you see my parents in law.

I took the dark blues and soft yellow tones from both collections because I think that is a lovely combination. The chipboard I used are off course The Dusty Attic & the flowers are by 49 and Market. On the background I used several stencils by different companies. Let’s have a closer look.

Goodmorning Maja Design Fans,

So nice of you to visit the Maja Design blog today, it’s been a long time since I last created something about three months I think. Not that I didn’t want to but my little family was struggeling with some issues and now we are all on the mend again with me having more time to get creative yeahh…. For today I would like to show you a layout that has been on my desk for that last three months {in pieces tho…}. I used two of my favorite collections Nyhavn & Denim and Friends.

On this layout I used some pretty lace from Tresors de Luxe, I also added a stencil with some paste and ink with a script stamp by our very own Pascale. The picture I got from pinterest. My uncle from Florida brought me some pearl bling when he visited last May that I used one this layout aswell.

I got myself a new phone and I am still figuring out how I can make my pictures look like the actual colors as my layouts are. So some of the close ups look a bit yellow sorry for that.

Maja Design papers used: Denim & Friends: Fashion & Sunbleached, Nyhavn: a dockside in bloom.

Thank you very much for your visit, I hope I have inspired you to go and create something beautiful with your Maja papers. Have a wonderful & sunny day!

Love xoxo

Goodmorning Maja Design Fans,

Yesterday some of us at the Maja Design creative team are guests designers at the¬†More Than Words¬†challenge blog! I totally love this months challenge because I love using frames and the word memories on my layouts as much as I can. For this layout I used the always amazing “Denim & Friends” collection. If you click on the pink words above it will take you to the link at their blog.

For the frames and the text I used some beautiful The Dusty Attic chippies which I colored with gesso, acrylic paints and rust paste. First I added a layer of clear gesso on my background sheet later on I added some lindy’s spray after that I added a script stemp and a stencil with some crackle paste. The flowers are by 49 and Market & Little Birdie.

I used some clear gesso on my background sheets after that I added some white spray that I moved from the left to the right with a brush. When that dried I took a script stamp with some grey ink and stamped it randomly on my background after that I added a stencil with paste.

At the end I added some art stones and some of the clocks from the Vintage Autumn Basics collection.

Goodmorning lovely Maja Fans,

Are you enjoying the spring weather…here in The Netherlands we had some pretty sunny days but that is over now, sadly but hopefully soon we can enjoy the sun again. For today I have a layout to share. Two weeks ago my computer died on me and I could not post my project {sorry for that} but now my husband fixed that and I can edit my work again yeah. This layout is made with two collections “Celebration” & “Denim and Friends” and Camilla her lovely daughter Freja <3 is on the picture.

On the beackground of my layout I added the pretty waterdrops stamp by Gabrielle Pollacco {still one of my favorite stamps sets ever} but before I added that stamp I used two other stamps to one crackle and one script stamp. After prepairing my background I treated my chipboard pieces with several acrylic paints layered on top of each other to get a worndown look.

After I treated the chipboards I added my flower clusters. Then I took my photograph and layered it on two sheets of the 6×6 paper pads then I placed it on top of the chipboard frame to get more dimension.¬† At the end I took out a letter sticker sheet from webster pages and made the word bliss and in that corner I placed a metal piece.

At the end I used some of my white spray and gesso to lighten up my flowers and papers…but I also added some art stones and some sea shells. I think that is it on how I created this layout. I had a lot of fun also because we have a son and I really enjoy making layouts with girls being the focal point.
