Layout

Hello my friends and happy Sunday to all!!!

Mary here with you today sharing my latest layout using papers from the beautiful ”Vintage Romance” collection.

When I found on Pinterest that beautiful photo I wanted to create a romantic layout.  And, before I continue I want to give all the proper credits to the photographer.

Close Up 1

For my background, I used the ”Love Notes” paper and I made some layers on it with some torn pieces from the ”She’s my Lady” and the ”Passion” papers.

Close up 2

I primed the background with clear gesso and when it was dried, I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil. Then, I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays ”Cotton Candy Pink”, ”Salt Water Taffy” and ”Cheshire Cat Cherry” to give some color.

Close up 3

I heat embossed the title and the chipboard pieces from the ”Moroccan Panel” with  ”Gilded Burgundy Brass” Lindy’s Stamp Gang embossing powder. The ”Leafy Silhouettes” chipboards were also embossed with ”Cafe au Lait”. The chipboards I used are 2crafty and the flowers are Prima Marketing.

Close up 4

To finish, I added some licorice glass beads and made some splatters with the sprays I used before.

Papers used:

That’s all for today, my friends!

Thank you for stopping by!

Hello our blog fans. Today I would like to show you the first page – cover of my album.  Simple and easy to use. I kept it in a simple way cause it is a project made for my photography school. I will add there pictures from photo session  and some other information about “The Angel”  – a literary fairy tale  by Hans Christian Andersen.

Album

I used a lovely paper from the “Vintage Romance” and “Vintage Summer” collections.  Angel from Prima and chipboards from Scrapiniec. Some laces, flowers. I tried to make it nice and elegant.

AlbumAlbumAlbumAlbum

It is a little bit unusual project but I love to combine scrapbooking with other projects. Show to other people  the opportunity, ideas how we can use the paper in a different way . Hope you will like my project. Hugs, Paulina :*

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Vintage Romance collection.

Love by Pascale B.

I primed the background with clear gesso. I added a Primary Element to the background that I sprayed with water. When I was happy with the result, I added a design with a stencil and white crackle paste.

Love by Pascale B.

While the crackle paste was drying, I colored the big flowers with the same color of Primary Element. I die cut some leaves and background elements in a watercolor paper.

I colored the leaves with Twinkling H2O. I altered the title and the squares with some Rust Effect paste and the same Primary Element as before.

I die cut also some berry sprigs that I colored with the Rust paste too and I added some berries with hot glue and embossing powder.

Before gluing all the embellishments with a 3D matte gel, I added a second design to the background with the same stencil and a brown Distress ink.

To finish I added some glass glitters and micro beads.

A very warm welcome to the wonderful Maja Designs blog. It feels like it has been forever since I was last here.  Today my family and I are going to a engagement dinner for a lovely young couple who, we as a family have grown with over the past few years. It is ever so sweet to see these two uniting. So I thought I would create a simple but elegant card for them to help celebrate their unity as a couple.

This is titled

“Truly, Madly, Deeply”

Truly Madly, Deeply (5)

When I first had the idea , I knew I wanted to create something very elegant but not too vintage as they are only a very young couple. I also wanted to keep it clean and crisp and I think I kept to my plan pretty much.

Vintage-Romance-P (1)

I had used the Vintage Romance collection previously with another creation and I had a few scraps leftover which is what I have used for this card. They are as below. I only used the strip from the bottom of Champagne which says “Truly, Madly, Deeply”. I cut and distressed this piece and used this to run through the middle of my embellishments. I have used both sides of  Happily Ever After and torn and layered these papers to a baby blue cardstock card measuring 4 inches x 9 inches. My favourite size at this present time. I think this size cards keeps things elegant and stylish.

From the Ephemera Cards sheet I cut the doves and the hearts to help embellish my cards. I have also used the blue frame from Love Notes to sit under the doves and hearts as you can see below in the close-up photos.

Truly Madly, Deeply (3)

I have used a beautiful motif that is an absolute favourite. I have cut and extended this to fit under my ephemera. I have also added in a little cheesecloth along with some tiny blue roses and a couple of petals from a material flower.

Truly Madly, Deeply (2)

I dusted over a little gesso to the flowers and other embellishments to keep it calming. Then a little Star Dust Stickles was wiped over areas included the hearts and doves of the ephemera piece.

Truly Madly, Deeply (6)

The card from another angle layered around some more gorgeous laces and motifs. This collection is a sure winner in my books. It is simply elegant! Well that is all from me today. I do hope that I have inspired you in some small way to create a little something for yourself or possibly a loved one.

A great excuse to create with Valentines Day only day away.

Until next time take care and happy crafting.
