Hello Maja Friends,

Christmas is over and it’s time to start creating something for the spring.

Many wedding ceremonies take place in the spring – summer seqason, so I decided to go ahead and start creating some weding cards.

But these cards are not usual , they are more like an embellished envelope to put a gift cretificate or money.

I used almost teh same sketch but different papers from Antligen collection.

I made a lot of die cutting using elegant frames , I guess they are perfect for any kind of wedding or anniversary card type.

Some of them are almost white , the color that is most favorite for the weddings

But one card goes out of a normal range, it is more bright.

However I prefer soft colors for my cards

Hi there! I hope you are fine. Today I will show you a lollipop card I made with the beautiful Vintage Romance collection. I hope you like it!

Vintage-Romance-P

I have used the Ephemera cards sheet for the main image, the Wedding Couple. The butterfly is a stamp from Stempelglede. I have coloured it with Distress Ink re-inkers.

As you can see I have several layers of papers and doilies on the card. I have also made some flowers of the Maja papers and placed them on the card.

IMG_4340

I have placed some heart tags on top of the card. They are made with a DooHickey die from Magnolia.

IMG_4341

I have used the ribbon Seem Binding around the image together with some cheese cloth.

IMG_4343

The tassels are also made with a DooHickey die from Magnolia.

Here is the back of the card. The text is from Stempelglede, and there is still place to write a greeting for the happy couple.

Here are the papers I have used:

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today. I wish you a lovely day!

Hi there! I am back with a wedding card I made last month. I got a request to make a card that should be large enough to contain greetings from several persons. And ofcours I had to use the Vintage Romance collection for this card!

Vintage-Romance-P

The groom is interested in cars, so I then I chose this image on the stamp.

IMG_3992

I made the heart by cutting out a Spellbinder heart from bazzill paper, then I glued on several flowers. I have also painted them with white Gesso. Behind the heart I have put som cheese  cloth and a heart doily. Then some corrugated paper that also is painted with white gesso. On the right side I have a small pocket, with two tags inside. The tages are made with DooHickey dies from Magnolia.

Up to the left I have placed two more tags “So wrapped lovely” (Magnolia). They are so beautiful in Maja Design’s pattern papers.

The small butterflies are from the Vintage Spring Basics collection and the “6th of May” sheet. I cut them out with scissors, and add some walnut stain ink to the edges of the wings. Under you can see the tags with a beautiful sentiment from Stempelglede.

A close up of two keys, also made with DooHickey dies. You can also see that all paper edges are inked with Distress Ink pad – Walnut Stain. And I have used my sewing machine on the papers too.

On the card inside to write on I have coloured a wedding couple from Magnolia with Distress Ink re-inkers. The swirls are made with a Stempelglede stamp. As you might see, the card is actually a decorated paper bag.

The black/silver charm is glued on to the heart.

The small flowers are also cut out from Maja Design papers, inked and added Stickles-Star Dust. In the middle I have put some liquid pearls. I have used a retro flower punch for the flowers.

And the front of the card… 🙂

Good morning, Maja Fans, welcome  to the blog today 🙂

I hope you’re enjoying your summer holidays with good weather and great company. I have returned from my summer trip and will spend the rest of the summer at home, but I can prolong the good times by going through the hundreds of photos I’d taken and…working with beautifully summery papers like Summertime! 🙂 These papers are so optimistic, fresh and juicy colours that seem just perfect for a summer wedding card. And here’s what I bring you today:

mdsumw

For the cards I shared some time ago I used the small paper pad, but since this is a DL size card, I selected my favourtie 12×12 sheets. And so I layered green and large roses patterns to make the background of the card:

mdsumw1

Then I added the sand beige paper and arranged a rich flower bouquet on it, adding a beautiful filigree chipboard chandelier decorated with liquid pearls:

mdsumw2

I cut the sand pattern so that the delicate damask pattern can be seen, making the background for the chipboard sentiment:

Here are the papers I used:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Scrapiniec; liquid pearls: Ranger; lace, string: my stash.

I used to think wedding card can only be elegant if they are white or ecru, but now I rather think beautiful papers in rich colours can also make splendid projects 🙂 And what about you? Do you prefer light or bold colours for your wedding cards?

Hello dear friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you and I wanted to share with you my card that I made from one of the newest MajaDesign collections- the Vintage Romance. I love how all the vintage series collections complement each other, this one is not an exception. You can take any sheets from these collections and combine them.

I love weddings, in this card I used some die cuts, lace, pearls, chipboard.

majadesign_vintage_romance_petzer_card1and some close ups:

The small resin frame fitted the couple so perfectly…

majadesign_vintage_romance_petzer_det1as always- some stitching, layering, lace- thats all what the shabby/vintage style is about.

To create this card I have used the paper pad from the Vintage Romance collection:
