Hello Lenet here today and I bring you a…Christmascard.

I know a lot of you don’t want to think about any thing Christmassy right now but I’m in a Christmas mood all year long.

I’m a member of two facebook groups that have a Chrismascard challenge  , and for that I need to make two Christmas cards a month, I can share them but If I have the time I want to make  4 different ones . Two for each group. You can never have enough Christmascards

The Christmas collections of Maja are just to gorgeous for not using them , so I use them a lot. that means you will see more Christmas cards from me thru out the year.

This one is made with several leftovers from different Christmas collections. I just love to make bleu ones it gives that winter and snow feeling I love and always hope we have at that time.

Besides the papers I used spellbinder dies , summerfeelings doily die from studio light and the Tim Holtz mini snow flakes rosette die. I just love rosettes.

I hope you like the card I made for your inspiration hope to see you back next time and don’t forget to come back to see the amazing things the other Maja girls make for you

Hello dear friends!

Mary with you today and I have a new layout with a video tutorial to share with you. To create my page I used papers from the gorgeous ”I Wish” collection along with some beautiful Dusty Attic chipboards which was placed around a photo I found on Pinterest. But, before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

You can watch all the procedure here…

And here are some close ups…

I used the ”I wish those memories will last” paper from the ”I Wish” collection and I made some layers behind my photo with the ”Evergreen” and the ”Outdoors” papers from the ”Joyous Winterdays” collection.

To start, I applied a coat of clear gesso on the background. Then, I created texture with graphite paste and a stencil and heat emboss the pattern with the Wow metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing powder. Made some stamping here and there and used Lindy’s Gang sprays to add color.

Next, I embossed the ”Chain Circles” & the ”Ornate Corner #13” chipboard pieces with the Aged Ivory Stampendous embossing powder.
Continued with the ”Foliage #8” & ”Foliage #9” chippies which were painted with the Finnabair Golden Moss acrylic paint. The ”Window & Shutters #2” and the ”Wordpl@y3” pieces were also painted with the Finnabair Rustic Brown paint.

When everything was glued down I added some art stones and glass beads. The final touch was made with some splatters with white acrylic ink.

Paper used:

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Thank you for stopping by!

Good morning! I am back again today. We have a new schedule at Maja Design, so I will post here the 2nd and the 16th every month. Since it was so suddenly after my last creation, I have not had the time to make a new card. So I will show you a card I made for the Ett Trykk Magazine for December. It is not that easy to spot, but I have made an open frame in the front of the card. And the cute image is inside the card. The gorgeous papers is from the collection called Joyous Winterdays.

So nostalgic! I have used papers in red and green.

Here are two houses I made with some dies from Magnolia. The image is also of course from Magnolia.

The image is called Joyful Tilda, and I have coloured her with Distress Inks, in colours to match the papers. She is masked together with this circle of snowflakes.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja design blog today. I will be back the 16th with a new card I am working with now. Wish you all a great Saturday!

With love,

Magic Winter Time

Welcome friends!

Recently we have made a beautiful winter trip in the mountains ‘Harz’.

Snow and ice magically transformed the landscape into a winter fairy tale.

… and then we discovered a beautiful castle that looks like

it was torn right from the pages of a storybook.

I choose for my mixed media layout the ”Sparkle” paper from the Maja Design ”Joyous Winterdays” collection.

I started as always by applying a coat of clear gesso on the background and then I cut out a handmade half moon from a white structure paper. I painted the moon with some watercolors and a little bit glitter paint and some deco stars for a magical effect.

It was a good background for a Dusty Attic chipboard and some winter trees made with cutting dies.

and  some another close up’s

a small cluster in the upper left corner

snow texture and glitter paints for some dreamy winter impressions

another bigger cluster made with frosted roses, silver winter berries, feathers and laces

I framed the cut out photo with a chipboard and used the moon as magical background.

I colored the flourish frame with white acrylic paint only on some places and white embossing powder to match to a wintry layout.

a wooden tree disc, snow paint and some paper leftovers

and a beautiful saying on a tag as addition and memory on a wonderful day

used Maja Design papers from the ‘Joyous Winterdays’ collection

Many thanks for your visit and I hope I could inspire you to create your very own, amazing idea.

Happy crafting!

Christmas star

Hi everyone! Today I want to show you a card that got published in the December issue of Ett Trykk. The challenge was to use the blue and white colour combo. And what wasn’t more perfect than to use these gorgeous Maja-papers from the beautiful collection Joyous Winterdays. And for the sledge and trees I have used sheets from the Monochromes papers in the same collection.

The whole card is made with a Go Kreate die. The circles around the image of cute Tilda is made with Spellbinder dies. The rest of the dies are from Magnolia. Magnolia have so many various dies that fit perfect to make lovely scenes with. I hope you like my card.

As usual I have added several layers to build up the card.

For this card I have also made the flowers myself, with gorgeous Maja-papers and Magnolia dies. The paper is first cut out, then I have sprayed some water on to the flowers, and curled them up. Let them to dry, and then curled them back up again. In the middle I have put some flower stamens from Wild Orchid crafts. I have also added some paint, white Gesso, all over the place.

For the 3D star I have used the paper called Blizzard bs.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog today!

With love,
