Good morning, Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂
I’m often asked to make some cards to order – and today I have two birthday cards to share. The first one is for a man who loves jazz:
I used my all-time favourite Vintage Romance collection because of the handsome guy image and for me classic jazz is those handsome guys in smart suits 😉 Although other images in the collection are rather referring to cars, I still used a car advert that I partly covered to reveal only the club name – sounds jazzy enough to me 😉
As I said, the collection doesn’t have any music motives, but I used stamps and washi tape to add some tunes and the piano keyboard, and then a chipboard saxophone to match the card theme:
I cut some tags from paper scraps and made a music record from cardstock:
And so I made this romantic collection fit into a jazz theme 🙂
The other card is a complete change of theme 🙂 It’s the first birthday card for a cute little lady:
For this one I used the refreshed Sofiero collection as I chose a soft pink and green palette. I’m so happy to be able to layer the Monochrome papers and not to cover beautiful patterns! Plus, I didn’t need to search for matching colours 🙂
I added some little flowers and stamped and die-cut the sentiment, also using the Monochrome paper:
I stamped and coloured the girl image in matching colours:
But there’s some more to the card: I included the girl’s name too and made the card into an easel form:
I really like the way the soft colours and delicate flower pattern go together with glitter and the stamp!
Here’s what I used to make them:
Other: stamps: Nellie Snellen, Gstamps, Lemonade; dies: Spellbinders, Crealies, Memory Box; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Anemone.
And which card do you like more? 🙂
