Sometimes I wonder what else I can do while creating my cards with Maja. New shapes, new floral composition or something else?

It ‘s really can be a challenge somehow, however I enjoy making them.

Recently I’ve started meking several similar cards at once. It saves me the time and allows to experiment with the paper layers, using almost the same sketch.

I do create vertical cards rarely. so it’s a good chance to try something new.

I’ve added some lace , made the sticthing and layered the flowers on the top.

Hello Maja Friends,

Today I’ve got a couple of Valanetine’s Cards.

Valentine Day Cards, Maja Design papers

I decided to make something simple, not busy and with no flowers cards.

Sometimes I feel it’s like a challenge to create something masculine.

However even for masculine cards you can use a butterfly patterned paper.

Have a great week end.

Goodmorning lovelies,

Today it’s my turn again on this lovely blog and i’d like to share a 12×12 layout using several beautiful Maja Design paper collections. This time I have used a picture of my little family this picture makes me smile because hubby didn’t want to have his sunglasses on and now it looks like he needs to poop lol….

For my layout I used a whole bunch of new {well for me they are new} stamps from 49 and Market for the background. but also for my chipboard pieces. I just love the way this layout turned out because purple is my favorite color. The chipboard are all by Dusty Attic and I colored them with two different color distress ink + Faber Castell gelatos fig. Also I used some of the cute lavender prills…..and some paste with a stencil.

The flowers are by Little Birdie and Prima Marketing I was planing on using some amazing shimmer flowers by 49 and Market but somehow I ended up with these…..I really love the brown background sheet I used because of the text on it and that you can use it for any occasion.

For the first time I actually used a blending tool to do the colors on the background except the purple Lindy’s Stamp Gang spray I used it was totally different for me but great to do. I also cute out two sizes Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry doily’s to add behind different parts of my layout to give it more flair.

Hi everyone,

I’m super excited to be joining the Maja Design DT and today I’m showcasing my first project.

I created a Shabby Chic Journal Cover to give as a gift to someone and I knew the Vintage Spring Basics collection were perfect for covering the journal.

Below, is a short step by step video tutorial on how I created it.

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vO_FuSNtw_A]

Here are some close-ups of my journal cover:

To create texture in the background I used a script The Crafters Workshop stencil with some modelling paste. I wanted to keep it very clean and shabby.

I used some matching Prima Marketing flowers, leaves and vines to embellish the book.

The doily under the flowers was cut out of the 7th of May Vintage Spring Basics paper using Prima’s die-cut metal doily.

To cover the book I used the April 3rd paper and for the doily I used the May 7th paper from the Vintage Spring Basics collection below.

I used to doodle on my notebooks and on anything I could get my hands on. Fourteen years ago I discovered scrapbooking and fell in love with it. Hello lovely Maja fans! I am back with a paperbag this time. I have decorated it with gorgeous pattern papers from the Vintage Spring Basics collection. Hope you like it.

I will give you the list of papers used at the end of the post.

IMG_6471

The image from Magnolia is coloured with Distress Ink reinkers, and in colours that I feel matches the papers very well. They both have the soft, romantic tones. The sentiment and surrounding stamps are from Stempelglede.

The small butterflies are cut out from the Vintage Spring papers.

Since the front is so heavily decorated, I have made the back simple. I just love these beautiful papers, and here you got to see more of them.

I hope you enjoyed my post. Here comes the papers used:

Thank you so much for visiting! Have a great day!

With love,
