Welcome Maja Design friends. Tina here with you today to share a couple of very cute Christmas Cards that I created with the newest Christmas collection : “Traditional Christmas.”

For those that know me well probably know that cards are really not my thing. I am a scrapbooker but when I opened up my goodies box from Marie I could not resist. This new collection truly is a remarkable Christmas collection filled with soft and elegant vintage touches.

Monochrome Moss Green

And these little guys, aren’t they just the cutest Elves or Gnomes ever? And the papers are just amazing…. and I especially love the sheets of apples and also the present parcel pages. So the apples paper were my starting point. I also used the polkadots and the striped pages as well as a couple of tags from the ephemera page, just some of my favourite pieces from this collection.

I made many layers from the papers using a and b sides distressing and sanding the edges.

I embellished with lots of gorgeous flowers and trims from 49andMarket and a chipboard title from Dusty Attic that was dressed in gold embossing powders. I also added in glitters and fibres.

Well that is all from me today. I hope you enjoyed your visit. Take care and stay safe. xx

For a Boy, a Teenager, a Man

Good morning Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

By common opinion among cardmakers, masculine cards are rather difficult to make. Would you agree? Despite being the only woman in our home, I do struggle when I have to make a card for a man. So once I got into “that” mood, I decided to take advantage of that unexpected mojo and make three birthday cards for three age groups: a baby boy, a teenager and a grown-up man:

For the boy card I used the papers from the Miles Apart collection as the pastel background to a hand-coloured stamped image. I also added a star cut out from one of the mini pad sheets, a plaid ribbon bow, some buttons and a stamed and embossed sentiment circle:

In the card for a teenager I featured the Denim&Friends papers, with a skater image decorated with a metal star charm and a mini flag cut out from a signature strip. I die-cut the sentiment from metallic silver sheet and matted it with a dark navy blue piece to make the whole sentiment pop out:

The last card features the Miles Apart papers again, with a chipboard steampunk heart embossed with various eps for a more rusty look, a metal flower, screw brads and plaid ribbon. I die-cut the sentiment from glitter foam and added some paper flowers too. Can you spot the mini balloons I cut out from one of the sheets? 🙂

Here’s the supply list for my cards:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers, chipboard heart: Prima; dies: Rosy Owl, CreaLies; metal ger: Mitform; metal flower: Craftmania; brads, ribbon: Rayher; acrylic gems: Scrapberry’s.

Do you struggle with masculine cards or do you make them with ease? 🙂

See you soon!

Happy Halloween

Hello Sweet Majafans,

Lenet here  and today I bring you something totally different .

Soon it will be Halloween , we don’t really celebrate this here in the Netherlands but it is done more and more every year.

Spooky parties , tours , decorating you see it more and more. but no trick or treat .

We have something simular in some parts  on november the 11th called Sint Maarten.  as soon as it gets dark children carrying lanterns the made at school ,

go singing from door to door collecting sweets. always very fun to see al those nice lanterns and hear them singing , especially the little children.

Unfortunately no Sint Maarten or Halloween this year due corona / covid.

But that didn’t keep me from making this Halloween card. Although Maja doesn’t have a  specific Halloween collection, the purple from Enjoying the Outdoors and the orange-ish one from Little Street Cafe are perfect for this.

So with any further ado  here is my Halloween card.

The witch is Wanda a stamp from Waltzingmouse the sentiment Happy  Halloween is from the same set. The frame is made with the Ornate Frame sizzix die from Tim Holtz altertions.

The bats are made with dies from some dutch brand I don’t know.

I hope you like my Halloween card.

thank you for visiting , take care and stay safe

Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Autumn is the season mostly associated with the beginning of another school year and with celebrating Teacher’s Day – in Poland it comes on October 14th. And for that occasion I made a set of two cards using the Miles Apart collection:

The cards share the same design, with stamped, embossed and hand-coloured images of books and pencils that I arranged into a pile and topped with chipboard feathers. I placed this combo upon a background composed of triangular pieces of papers. I finished the cards with a stamped quotation and mini flowers. One of the cards features green, brown and orange papers of the collection and I thought it would make a great card for a man:

For the other card I used the colour combo of green and pink patterns, so that it’s more feminine and delicate:

I simply love the versatility of this collection, suitable for such a wide range of themes and projects!

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Lemonade, Agateria; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts, chipboard: Miszmasz Papierowy; bling: Papermania.

That’s all for today, thank you very much for visiting and drop by soon for more inspiration from my talented friends from DT 🙂

Romantic layered card.

Hello Sweet Maja fans,

Lenet here and today I bring you this romantic card with lot’s of layers and fussy cuts tucked between them.

I never heard of fussy cuts  until  Amy called them like that.  So those little things  you cut out with a little scissor are fussy cuts. Love it.

For this card I used the Celebration 15×15 paperpad the fussy cuts are cut out of Engagement  from the Vintage romance collection.

Here a close up of the fussy cuts

And the fussy cuts tucked between the layers  to give it some depth.

I love to use layers on a card . I use foamtape between them to stick the layers together.

And a close up of the left uppercorner  with the fuzzy cuts.

Thank you very much for visiting , Hope you like  the card I made for you.

Stay Safe and see you next time.
