Hello dear Maja friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you today. Do you have your favourite crafting themes? I absolutely do! I love making baby stuff and also love doing christmas projects. And sometimes I love to challenge myself by creating the non-traditional coloured projects. This is how I started creating this card. I was thinking about the shabby style in christmas and the pink color just popped in my mind and then resulted in this card.maja_nov_pink_petzer

I love the little beads that made perfect accents in this cut. The die cuts in white and the lovely chipboard helped me to showcase the Maja Papers.

I have mixed some scraps of paper that I have in my leftovers and they were from different collections, I was just pulling them by color. That’s another reason why I love Maja Design papers -they are so easy to mix and match. I have used here Coffee in the Arbour collection

and this sheet with mittens

Have a lovely cozy day,

Hello Everyone <3

Today I’m here with a little extra Christmas inspiration to you <3

About two weeks ago I made a box with 8 sides. I made the box my self using thick cardbord also known as chipboards 12×12. When I made this box I would give it a little extra Christmas spirit <3

On the side of the box, I used a Martha Stewart Punch called Eyelet Lace, this is a new personal favorite of mine. The snowflakes are a dies set from Tim Holtz called Mini Snowflake. The set is two snowflakes, and on my box I have placed some of them on top each other. I also decorated these with snow from a box and plastic snow.

The lid of the box is also cut out from chipboards and both sides have patterned paper, even at the edges. The top lid I’ve covered with alot of snow from a box and snow made from plastic. I have made my self a  little Christmas story on the top. Christmas Carols in the Snow <3

On the lid I’ve used several dies from Tim Holtz. The Christmas tree in the background is put together with a dies named Evergreen <3 The Deer is from a set with two, called Reindeer Fligthe and the pair where the lady sings and the man plays, named Victorian Carolers. The other details are mushrooms, packages with some bullfinks. The bullfinks is a dies from kaBoks.

The Christmas tree is made from 16 trees that two and two are glued together. This is to get the patterned paper on both sides. In the tree you can see that I have used several Bullfinch.

Below the tree I have 3 red mushrooms and on the other side you’ll find a deer.

The packages I’ve put together myself without a tutorial. Also these are covered with snow and two of them I have placed some birds on.

When you remove the lid, you will see that I have covered the inside with patterned paper and pearl string.

The idea for the project I got when I saw the dies set with the lady and the gentleman from Tim Holtz. I just knew I had to make one project with this and give them the right Christmas atmosphere they deserve <3

For this box I have used paper from different collection from Maja Design:

I wish you all a great weekend <3

Good morning Maja friends!

Today I thought I was going to give you some inspiration to start on your Christmas cards.

IMG_1822

This card is made with left over papers from several of Maja Designs collections. All in blue, beige and brown.

I have used an image from the Internet, a doily, pearls, lace and a crochet flower.

The text is in Norwegian and means “take care of the moments”.

I have also made a tag for a Christmas present.

Here I have used papers from Vintage Winter together with a doily.

The tag is decorated with twine, a paper rose, red berries and lace.

Wish you all a wonderful day! Hugs from Heidi

Hello dear Maja friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you today and I have prepared a layered christmas card, that uses soft colors that I love. And a bit of red in it gives the little contrast and that christmas feeling for the card.

close ups:

I think Maja papers most often call you to work in shabby or vintage style , so my love for resin embellishments also finds its place here…

insta_chall_det1I bought the wide lace with flowers and now I am cutting the bits and pieces from it and add them to my card.insta_chall_det3kraft and wood accents make the card more warm and “real” as for me.

Sent with love sentiment is that little extra border of the papers, that I love in Maja and always keep (the red poinsettias on top are also from these cut off papers)maja_insta_det2

I have used the Gift for You collection:

Dear visitors,

It’s already November and the lovely Christmas time is approaching fast. This is the absolute high season for us scrappers, cardmakers and all other kind of crafters, and we totally get lost in all the wonderful creating opportunities that we are offered this time of year.
We are hoping to inspire you some extra, with this wonderful Mood Board challenge..

Moodboard-November

And a little reminder of how we use the mood boards:

Definition mood board – n

a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other

We are using mood boards for our challenges. We truly believe in creativity and art at Maja Design. You are free to interpret the mood boards in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. They are all inspired by a Maja collection, but you are free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme.

We highly encourage you to follow the theme of the mood board as well.

We will be presenting all participating creations that fulfill the requirements below November 25th. We will also draw a winner who will be winning a Maja Design collection of their own choice in 6×6 or 12×12.

After your creation is done, take a photo and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu without any watermarks. Please make sure that your picture is the size of 600×600 dpi. We would be so grateful if you also could change the file name of the photo to your first and last name. Please feel free to send us more than one picture, but NOTE that we need them as a photo collage (also the size 600×600 dpi). Include your full name, address and phone number in the e-mail together with what collection you would like if you win. Don’t forget to write down if you would like 6×6 or 12×12.
We need your creation November 25th at the latest.

We will only publish creations that fullfill the requirements!

Enjoy some wonderful inspiration projects from our talented Creative Team:
