Hello Maja Design Friends.

The new brand collection Denim & Friends has been announced recently, and though I see it’s Boho style , I decided to create something absolutely different.

I’ve made Wedding Cards and the love the delicacy the papers have.

The floral prints, stripes and lace patterns are perfect for mixing. I made some fussy cutting as well, the roses are so lovely.

To create the scene on my cards I used the dies, classy and Summer – associated. And to make the grape leaves I used Monochrome Shades papers from Celebration Collection.

The cards are lovely and full of tiny numerous details , though they look quite simple.

I didn’t add many flowers since the papers are perfect with no extra embellishments.

Products used:

Spellbinders Dies and Prima Marketing Flowers.

Hello, our blog fans. Today I created the card in the box. It was an individual order and the most important thing was to use the Peacock motif.  I matched digital graphic and then found the paper. I mixed different collection – the most important was to find the best shades of blue paper.

To create the background I used a paper sheet from Monochromes Collection.  Modeling paste was applied by the mask and then I just compose the rest.

I’m really happy about the final result. Hope you will like it to. Hugs, Paulina

Hello Maja Friends,

the Wedding Season has officially started so it’s time to have a bunch of wedding cards by your hand.

I choose pastel colors for my cards always, they are perfect for any wedding occasion, I guess. So the pale and soft colors are the main choice this time too.

For my cards I used Sofiero collection, one of my favorite, by the way and focused on the pink colors of it.

Though I paid too much attention to embellishments , the papers are quite soft and not busy with the floral pattern.

I also made some fussy cutting of the roses, that I used from Vintage Romance collection, and added them as paper embellishments around my flower clusters.

Pale pink, frosty grey and white are a  perfect recipe for any shabby  project, either for wedding.

But for sure you can mix them for any other project too.

Products used:

Prima marketing flowers and Ephemera, Lace.

Hello out blog fans. Today I’m really late with the post. I totally forgot to show you my last card created for the mood board challenge. Have you seen it? In this inspiration, I would like to show you how universal are the Maja’s papers. I have used the Christmas Collection of paper to create completely no Christmas card. It’s a huge value of the papers!

I’m wondering if you are using the Christmas Collection due the yeat as well? If not – it’s good advice to try. Hope you will like my card. Hugs, Paulina

Autumn Wedding

Good morning, dear visitors to the Maja Design blog!

Autumn has just begun and although we can still enjoy some warmer days, nights become colder and colder and leaves turn yellow and orange, a sure sign of the autumn season. And so for today I have an autumn wedding layout to share:

For this page I decided to keep the colour palette of the photo: yellow, pale orange, delicate green and pastel brown. This is perhaps not my frequent choice of colours, but it was surprisingly nice to work with. First I built the background using papers from the Enjoying Outdoors and Vintage Summer Basics collections. The I added some brick pattern onto the top sheet using a Prima stencil and crackle paste:

I kept the design rather simple, with a flowery heart matting the photo as the only decorative element. I added some white resin embellishments among the flowers and some theme words describing marriage features around the photo. Under the heart I attached a delicate lace bow. The heart is also matted with frayed cheesecloth.

The layout is quite dimensional and perfect to go into a shadowbox-like frame.

I really like the way it turned out, light and delicate with some touches of bright colours, with the photo still in focus. What do you think?

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers, stencil, crackle paste – Prima; resin embellishments: handmade with Prosvet moulds; cheesecloth, bling, lace – my stash.

Thank you for visiting and see you later!
