Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

The wedding season is slowing down a bit, but still the wedding bells can be heard each Saturday 😉 And so it is reasonable to have a stock of wedding cards and gifts at hand. Therefore for my today’s post I decided to make a wedding exploding box for those who wish to complete their wishes with some cash too 🙂

I combined two collections in the box, and they are both perfect not only because of beautiful colours and elegant patterns, but also because of their names! Mix Vintage Romance with Celebration and you have a perfect wedding project.

I matched the flowers I used for the box with the printed ones of the Engagement sheet.

Inside the box are the usual slots for money – the sentiments say: for the crib, for the shared nest and for the journey of your dreams – as well as the space for writing in wishes:

The filigree chipboard cake I used perfectly matches the flourishes of the papers! I decorated it with mini flowers and satin ribbon:

And how do you give cash presents to the newlyweds? Just an envelope or something more elaborate?

Here’s what I used to make the exploding box romantic and flowery:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard cake: Wycinanka.pl; dies: Crealies; ribbons, cheesecloth, pearls: my stash.

And that is all for today, thank you for visiting the blog and feel welcome to drop by any time to find more inspiration 🙂

Hi everyone! Hope you are fine. Here I am back with a wedding card I have made. I have used the lovely papers from the Vintage Romance collection.

Under you can see that I have cut out several love letters from the paper named “Walk with me”.

The image from Magnolia is coloured with Distress Ink. And it looks so nice together with the romantic and lovely papers.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

While our summer Moodboard palette is absolutely gorgeous and up to my taste (check out the previous post!), for my today’s post I changed the colours entirely to go pinky mauve for a wedding. It’s been ages since I’ve made an envelope card and I thought I might as well make one 😉 But as Maja papers are nicely thick and sturdy, they aren’t perfect for a classic heavily folded envelope form. Therefore, I cheated a bit and made a card using only half of the sheet. And here it is:

I cut the She’s My Lady paper from the Vintage Romance collection diagonally and used the half with the fan in the corner, which is almost invisible and therefore suited for a wedding card. Using only half a paper made the same side of the paper to be the outside part and thus the flowery border around the page made a beautiful trim in front of the card 🙂 I sewed the bottom part and decorated the flap:

Inside the envelope I placed a writing cardstock piece that I decorated with a stamped and embossed ornament. I also embossed the wedding rings on the plate that masks the ribbon on the flap:

I really like the way the card turned out and how the patterns on the paper provided a beautiful background!

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; butterflies: Prima, home&you; stamps: Lemonade, Inkadinkado; ribbon, pearls: my stash.

Thank you for visiting the blog today, drop by tomorrow for more inspiration!

Hello Maja Friends,

Summer is always full of wedding ceremonies, so each year I am busy with creating wedding cards for my friends

Normally I make more than just a couple of cards. So this time I made 2 different cards

I decided to mix the collections again, I love how they work together, no matter which collection you use.

I used mostly Vintage Spring Basics collection, focused on the blue and beige tones and added lace embellishments

Also I made some fussy cutting, and even cut out the roses form the Summertime collection

So you can see the collections are totally a perfect match.

Products used:

Prima Marketing Flowers, Spellbinders Dies

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Have you seen our May Moodboard? The palette is so beautiful that after creating my sample card I just couldn’t help making another 😉 And here’s my wedding card:

I used papers from the Summertime collection – this rose bouquets one is one of my most favourite Maja papers! Isn’t it just gorgeous? I chose it for my background and matted it with two other collection papers and arranged a scene of two birds nesting – to symbolise a new couple building their home together 🙂

Inspired by the roses in the bacgkround, I added a flower cluster around the chipboard sign:

I tied a guipure lace bow to add some lightness to my bouquet:

The card turned out pretty dimensional – and I love that!

Of course bulky cards need a box, and I decorated one with hot embossing on the top:

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; glitter: Ranger; art clay molds: Prosvet; art clay: Martha Stewart; lace: my stash.

I hope you will join us for the Moodboard challenge and share your projects using this gorgeous palette 🙂

See you!
