Hello, our blog fans. Today I created the card in the box. It was an individual order and the most important thing was to use the Peacock motif.  I matched digital graphic and then found the paper. I mixed different collection – the most important was to find the best shades of blue paper.

To create the background I used a paper sheet from Monochromes Collection.  Modeling paste was applied by the mask and then I just compose the rest.

I’m really happy about the final result. Hope you will like it to. Hugs, Paulina

First Communion Exploding Boxes

Good morning, Maja Friends, welocme to the blog today 🙂

May is traditionally a month of the First Communions in Poland. Every May Sunday in various churches a group of kids receive the Sacrament and then celebrate with their faimilies with festive dinner and presents. Money and jewellery are quite popular First Communion gifts and I designed exploding boxes to give them a nice packaging 🙂

Here’s the girl’s version:

I decorated the box with Celebration papers:

The lid is decorated with a flower bouquet and a stamped sentiment embossed with golden ep:

When the lid is removed, the walls fall open and reveal the inside. There’s a stamped, embossed and hand-coloured image of a First Communion girl:

…a small gift pocket:

I also added a panel with a stamped poem, whilst in the centre I placed the chalice decorated with flowers:

The girl’s version is traditionally in the pink palette – I also made a boy’s version in blues:

The design is basically the same, of course the stamp is different 🙂

I really like how the Celebration collection provided delicate flower patterns for the girl’s box, but also elegant flowerless motives for the boy version 🙂

And how do you like the boxes?

Here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Spellbinders, custom vine die; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; stamps: Lemonade; washi tape: Dekoracyjna Taśma; bling: Marianne Design.

I hope you enjoyed your visit to our blog, don’t forget to drop by tomorrow for more inspiration!

Have a nice day!

Hello.  Jennifer Snyder here to  share my project using Maja Design’s new Denim & Girls paper collection.

What a gorgeous collection this is too!  Maja Design always out shines with each new collection.
I paired the feminine beauty and grace of the collection with a delicate die from Spellbinders designed by Becca Feeken.

Here are the papers I chose from Denim & Girls collection by Maja Design:

Tough But Sweet
Embroidered Jeans
And a solid from the Monochrome -Shades of Denim collection – Vintage Pink

The colors and images on the new Maja Design collection are delicate, fun and still a bit sporty.
OK – how can they be both delicate and sporty?  Because…polka dots and stripes, dare I say more?  haaaaa.  Who doesn’t love a great sporty polka dot pattern!

Don’t be fooled by the name of the collection, Denim & Girls.  The collection offers an array of stripes, checkered patterns and dots that can be used for the more masculine project as well.

Here are a few more looks at my card for Mother’s Day.  The patterns of the collection are absolutely breathtaking.   This “MUST HAVE” collection is shipping now and will arrive in your favorite Maja Design Retail store soon.

Here is a great tool to help you shop.  The Maja Design Store Finder.

Thanks for stopping today.  Watch for more inspiration using the gorgeous new Denim & Girls collection.

Welcome, dear friends of the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy today, and I’m so excited to be here with you. Each time I’m on the blog I still have to pinch myself to believe I’m actually part of this amazing Creative Team! I hope you’re doing well today. Have you had plenty of creative time? My husband recently had an injury requiring surgery (he’s recovering well now), and everything to do with that kept me out of my craft room for a couple of weeks. Needless to say I am thrilled to be back to crafting this week.

I have a brand new card to share with you! I’m using the lovely Vintage Autumn Basics Collection again because it’s one of my absolute favorites. It’s full of rich colors and romantic vintage images, but can be used during any season of the year.

There are many layers to this card which I am trying to capture in the photos, though it doesn’t always show up as well as I’d  like. The base layers are hand distressed, layered, and stitched together. The chipboard frame is painted with my own recipe of acrylics to blend in with the paper tones, then lightly inked over in timber brown to give it some ‘age’.

The roses are handcrafted using the paper collection, as are the leaves and flourish swirl.  Even the sentiment is part of the paper collection! The clock is stamped onto a sheet from the collection cut out.

A light stippling of gesso adds a more vintage appearance.

Below is a peek at the interior of the card, which also has a bit of stamping. I like to coordinate the inside of my cards with the front.

 Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Products Used: Natural Twine, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Dies, Flower Shaping Kit, Flourish Die, Magnolia Rose Leaf Die, Flourish Die, Tim Holtz Distress Tool, Chipboard Frame, Resin Frame, Paper Stamps from my stash, Stampin Up Clock Stamp, Staz-0n Ink in Timber Brown, Acrylic Paints, Gesso, Sewing Machine, Thread.

Thank you so much for joining us on the blog today. It’s been and honor and a pleasure to spend this time with you. I wish you a week filled with beauty, joy, and many crafty endeavors!

Hugs,

It’s time for Confirmation!

Hi everyone! I am sure you are as excited as me about the new Maja papers. They are just amazing, and I have started using them already.

First up I want to show you a lollipop card I made with two of the sheets from the collection. “You are a star” and “Amazing”.

Some details. Here you get a closer look of the sheet “You are a star”.

For the leaves I have used the Monochrome papers for this collection.

The image is from the sheet “Girls in Jeans”. And underneath the image you can spot “Amazing”.

Here is the back of the lollipop. Where you can write a greeting, and put some money in the small envelope.

Under I just wanted to show you a Magnolia card I made with the gorgeous papers.

And under I have made a lollipop for a Confirmand boy.

The papers are from the Summer Crush collection. And the image is from the Denim & Friends collection.

And you can see that the back is pretty the same as the other lollipop card.

And at last I want to show you the book card I made.

I have used wonderful the Denim & Friends collection.

I cut the tie out for hand, and have done some sewing.

To make it look like a book, I use water colour paper from Canson. And I fold it like an accordion.

Just some details. Here I have matched craft card stock and Maja papers.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja blog today!
