Goodmorning lovely Maja Designs Fans,

Today I’d like to show you two 8×8 layout’s made with the amazing new “Joyous Winterdays” I am so in love with this collection because it is really versatile and there are such great patterns on the paper sheets. On the first layout I used the red and green tones in the collection and I named it “All That Glitters”….These layouts are all made with dies to show off the beautiful papers. What is great about that, that your flowers are the same tones as the rest of your layout. I also added some snow accents on the flowers clusters and on the cinnamon piece.

At the end I added some white spray to make it more as a snow effect and used some cream prills on top of the distressed honeycomb die. The centers of my flowers are made out of a metallic flatback gem…..also I added those white fussy balls to spice up the flower clusters.

For my second layout I used the blue and green tones with a touch of cream papers.

On the background of this layout I sprayed some white ink again after that I added a stencil with stars…..then I added the picture and the already prepaired flowers {I made a bunch of them while I was watching tv that is so relaxing} at the end I sprayed some glitter spray on my layout but sadly you don’t see that on the picture.

Goodmorning Maja Design Fans,

Today I’d like to share some projects I made with my lovely Maja Design papers all the flowers you will see on my projects are all hand made with dies. I love making winter projects although I dislike winter time here in The Netherlands the days are getting colder and the night longer. I love the getting cozy part but the rest not so much. My first project is a 8×8 layout made with different Maja Designs collections.

As I said I love playing with snow effects and I did that massively here on this layout…can you see which collections I have used here? Don’t you just love that picture? Although I dislike winter time I love snow and the peacefulness it brings….hope it will snow this year.

Goodmorning lovelies,

Today I am up on this lovely blog using my precious Maja Design papers. In my last post I added some questions and I will give you those answers in my August 11th post, the same as I give you my tutorial that day. Sorry for that but I had to deal with some serious personal issues so I have not been scrapbooking as much as I wanted to. Today we will be leaving for our well deserved vacation trip for the next seven day we will be enjoying each others company at a camping ground in the south of our little country we are very excited as you can imagine…, for this post I made a 8×8 layout using only Maja Design papers, dies and a flair.

20170707_14385912

That sweet picture I got from pinterest oh boy how I love that site…here I used several Maja Design collection such as Vintage Autumn Basics, Vintage Baby, I Wish and Vintage Summer Basics. The centers of my big flowers are made with foamballs that I glued on and dipped in mini prills such a lovely effect that has.

20170707_143739

20170707_143744

On the background I added some spray’s, stamp and paste. But I also stamped the word sweet on the picture I really do love Gabi her word stamps. What I do when making a layout with just paper and dies….firstly I will cut all the dies that I want to use in different colors then I will make the flowers and their centers and put those together.

Then I it is really easy to make it into one whole piece that you like. At the moment I am totally hooked on the amazing flairs by Cuts2luv that I will use it on almost every single project I make. I wetted my papers to disstress is a little more at the edges I also inked the edges first before I did that.

Good morning, Maja Friends, I’m so happy you’ve found some spare moment in the hot time of Christmas preparations to visit our blog 🙂

I’m in the middle of that fever too, with getting my home ready for 16 people 😉 and so just a quick post today to share an 8×8 layout:

mdmerry

I selected the ecru, red and brown patterns of the I Wish collection to decorate the photo of my boys in their Santa’s angels suits 😉 I layered the red and ecru papers for the background:

mdmerry2

…and added some handmade tags nad the title I cut out from the signature strip:

mdmerry1

I also placed a piece of the signature strip across the photo and added a Santa post stamp from the Ephemera sheet:

mdmerry3

Then I added the flower cluster with glittery diecuts and a berry twig I found in some cheap store a couple of years ago 😉

mdmerry4

I put the layout into a dimensional frame:

mdmerry6

….and it will make a home decor Christmas gift for the Grandparents 🙂

mdmerry5

I hope they’d like it!

Supplies:

Other: dies: Magnolia, no name dies; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Scrapiniec; bling: Marianne Design; berry twig, button, clip: my stash

And now, before I get back to work, I’d like to thank you for visiting Maja Design blog this year, for your nice comments and appreciation.

I wish you the happiest Christmas and a fabulous creative New Year!

Goodmorning lovely viewers,

Sunny and warm days are on it’s way as summer soon will land here in Holland! Oh and how I am in need of some sunshine because I have to say I am not such a fan of winter {although the layouts made with winter pictures are wonderful} So for my 8×8 layout I used “Vintage Summer Basics”and one sheet of “Vintage Spring Basics” to get in the mood ;-). As I am also part of the Cheery Lynn Designs DT I am allowed to pick beautiful dies every month and on this layout I used two new ones that I just got last Saturday.

20160408_081612_HDR1

Why a 8×8 layout you may wonder, well that will be because they take less space in my scrap room and they are a little faster  to make {little pieces of art I always say like ATC’s} But also because everything I have to make for Cheery Lynn Designs we have to ship to them for trade show’s like CHA and then it will not take up all of their booth space.

On this layout I added a bunch of layers behind the picture and lifted them up with foam tape as I also did for the 1933 sheet from the “Vintage Summer Basics” collection. If you do that you will get more depth on your layouts. What got me inspired to make this layout well I have to say it was this months mood board that went life on the blog last Monday although I already made a layout inspired by the mood board I totally could not help myself and created another one 🙂
