Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Spring always makes me think about new life after winter (though we all know winter IS coming! 😉 ), and since a couple of my friends are expecting right now, I thought it would be nice to have some welcome baby cards in stock, just to be ready when the time comes! And so in my today’s post I’m sharing a set of two cards I made using a mixture of papers:

I used the same stamp for both cards, only coloured them – as usually, with Distress inks – according to traditional girl’s pinks and boy’s blues. I tried to match the shades of Vintage Baby papers that I used for the top layers of my cards. I also added some Monochromes for the bottom layer. The design is pretty simple: just some curved-edge layered papers:

…a trim of pom-poms, the coloured stamped image in the centre:

…with two little buttons in the upper corner:

…and a touch of glam with ombre glitter and a gold-embossed sentiment:

They are dimensional enough to suit my taste, but slim enough to go into an envelope 🙂

I really like the way they turned out – and look how the baby stamp imagery matches the style of those cute animals in the background 🙂

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Whimsy Stamps, Lemonade; dies: Crea-lies, Spellbinders; pom-poms, buttons: my stash.

Thank you very much for visiting us today, don’t forget to drop by tomorrow for more inspiration! See you soon!

To my vintage baby!

Hi everyone! I am back with a paper bag card for a baby. An what isn’t more perfect than to use the cutest baby collection from Maja Design called Vintage Baby!

Behind the image from Stempelglede I have placed a tag from the paper called “Die cuts”.

The words are written on my computer and printed out.

Here you can see the tag inside. I love the teddy bears and the stars on the paper!

Some close ups:

The butterflies are stamps from Stempelglede, and I have coloured them with Distress ink. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. This card was also published in the magazine Ett Trykk for the August issue.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Blog today!

With love

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

For this post I have a layout to share with a cutest little boy photo as a welcome gift:

For the colour palette I used the photo colours and added hues of blue. Therefore I chose my two favourite collections that fitted perfectly: Vintage Baby (of course) and Denim&Friends (it’s a boy, right?). I wanted the photo to remain the focal point and added only a few embellishments, including a die-cut and paper-pieced balloon:

…the name banner:

…the measurements:

To accent the lightness and delicacy of the photo I added cheesecloth, pom-poms and buttons:

I really like the way it turned out, sweet and light as is the precious new baby boy 🙂

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Sizzix, Memory Box, Craft Passion; chipboard: Scrapiniec; liquid pearls: Ranger; cheesecloth, buttons, pom-poms – my stash.

Thank you for visiting and see you later!

Goodmorning lovelies,

Today I am up on this lovely blog using my precious Maja Design papers. In my last post I added some questions and I will give you those answers in my August 11th post, the same as I give you my tutorial that day. Sorry for that but I had to deal with some serious personal issues so I have not been scrapbooking as much as I wanted to. Today we will be leaving for our well deserved vacation trip for the next seven day we will be enjoying each others company at a camping ground in the south of our little country we are very excited as you can imagine…, for this post I made a 8×8 layout using only Maja Design papers, dies and a flair.

That sweet picture I got from pinterest oh boy how I love that site…here I used several Maja Design collection such as Vintage Autumn Basics, Vintage Baby, I Wish and Vintage Summer Basics. The centers of my big flowers are made with foamballs that I glued on and dipped in mini prills such a lovely effect that has.

On the background I added some spray’s, stamp and paste. But I also stamped the word sweet on the picture I really do love Gabi her word stamps. What I do when making a layout with just paper and dies….firstly I will cut all the dies that I want to use in different colors then I will make the flowers and their centers and put those together.

Then I it is really easy to make it into one whole piece that you like. At the moment I am totally hooked on the amazing flairs by Cuts2luv that I will use it on almost every single project I make. I wetted my papers to disstress is a little more at the edges I also inked the edges first before I did that.

Hello our blog fans. Today I would like to show you something a little bit different. It is a calendar/notebook for  a little gentleman to write down his first words, add his first drawings. It will be a place to capture the moments, memories and a keep it until he’s teenager.Calendar for a boy

I bought a simple base and decorated the cover. You will not see here the flowers cause my idea was to keep it as simple as  possible. This project will be use for the next year and I hope it will survive. When it’s full I will create next one.  I just felt in love with the idea.

Calendar for a boy I used the paper from the Vintage Baby Collection. The colours and design is just perfect for a boy 🙂
