Goodmorning lovely Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog today! As most of you know I love to mix and match collections what is amazing to do with all the Maja design lines. For this layout I used five collections because I wanted to follow a moodboard at a challenge site which was light teal, pink, grey and white. The grey flowers are handmade and super easy to do. The white paper with the clocks is my favorite sheet from the “Crea Diem”collection I used two, from one I cut out the clocks to add extra on my layout.

The grey paper I used as the base of my layout on that one I added the sheet from the “Vintage Summer Basics” in the light teal color. All the papers are distressed and I used  stamps and a stencil on the background. The rest of the flowers are off course by 49 and Market. I love to use pictures of our little Abbey she is growing up so fast trying to say difficult words just to funny she makes our lives compleet & happy.

The chipboard pieces are by scrapaholics and are treated with white gesso, ink, paint, sprays and the words with embossing powders. From the ‘Miles Apart”collection I cut out a whole bunch of roses & leaves that I placed around my picture. The cute little butterflies are from a sheet from the ‘Vintage Spring Basics”collection.

The stencil I used is by the very talented Gabrielle Pollacco whom I totally miss in this creative world….On the 6th of this month it was my husband’s and also my birthday he turned 50 this year I made him a Abrahim lol just too funny. I turned 43 this year a green leaf like he always sais lol hahahaha…..He was so sweet to give me such a nice present he gave me a new sewing machine for scrapping but they could not deliver it because they all had to back because there was something wrong with them {I am so sad about that hopefully I will have it back soon} I miss sewing on my layouts it was one of my trademarks on my work and now it was a long time I did…

Maja Design papers used: Crea Diem: den oersattliga tiden, Nyhavn: king’s square, Vintage Summer Basics: 1943, Miles Apart: the little things & ephemera, Vintage Spring Basics: 6th of May.

What are the most collections you have ever used to make a layout? I am very curious I think this is mine but to make sure I really have to go back in time. I will tell you in my next post….have a wonderful day and please stay safe & healthy.

Love

Welcome Maja friends. I hope this post has found you happy and well. Tina with you today to share a layout project created using a mix of papers from differing Maja Design collections.

I have called this “My Sunshine”.

My background page was made using the Fika’s Sockerkaka and Crea Diems Sin lyckas smed. I created a framework 2.5 cm around the Sockerkaka paper and distressed it heavily. I then added Crea Diems Sin lyckas smed behind Sockerkakato allow the blue to shine through.

Vintage Pink

The sheet of Det skrivna består was cut into rectangular mats in differing sizes. I also added some rectangular mattings in differing sizes using Monochromes shades of Denim in Vintage Pink. These were all distressed heavily and randomly adhered together. I mounted the whole piece including the photo upon some 3D mounting tape and adhered it to the left of the layout.

I have used this adorable photo of my eldest daughter who just turned 18 this month. And because she has just turned that fabulous number I have used the Skeleton clockfaces to represent time gone past. I used two clocks from the collection and cut the smaller one in half to sit at the right of my layout.

The clockfaces were primed with white gesso and then coloured with Inka Golds in Hydrangea.

I have also used a panel of the Heart Attack Small.  For this project I decided to simply emboss the full panel with Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel from Stampendous. I cut the panel into quite a few pieces and layered them around and in between layers of the Maja Design papers and lace and of course the other chipboards and flowers. Some of the itty bitty hearts I took out of the panel and scattered them around and through the clusters. You can see below the hearts taken out separately.

The Dusty title Sunshine was also dressed in the shabby blue enamel. You can see it above. The tiny weeny specs of gold that shine through are just so cute.

I have used lots of distressing to highlight the layers of papers also. Some sanding of my papers was also done to create the shabby style look. You can see this above.

I have also used one half of the pack of Ornate Scrolls another one of my favourite pieces. this was cut into two and divided behind the photo. I dressed this piece in Crackle Texture Paste and coloured it a little with the Hydrangea Inka Gold and some Ranger Star Dust Stickles to make it shine.

I have also used some gorgeous Birch lace cut into segments.

And that is all from me today. Until next time take care and happy creating.

Hello Maja fans!

Mary here with you today and I have a new canvas to share for my July inspiration. A soft romantic canvas on the shades of blue and beige with lots of flowers, chipboards and IOD moulds.

As you may already know, I love searching on Pinterest to find photos to scrap and this time I came across with that photo. And, the beautiful papers from the ”Crea Diem” collection was just perfect for it. But, before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

I used the ”Må du leva och växa” paper for the ”Crea Diem” collection. To start, I glued down the papers and I applied a coat of clear gesso. When it was dried, I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil.

I made some random stamping and then I used a Lindy’s Gang spray to color my page.

I colored the ”Doodads #6” and the ”Iron Garnish #6” chipboard with the Raven Black sparks acrylic paint.  The ”Delicate Frame #3” chipboard was also colored with the Magical Pond paint and the chipboard title with the White Pearl. The chipboards I used are from Dusty Attic.

When everything was glued down, I added some art stones and I made the final touch with some splatters with white gesso diluted with some water.

Paper used:

That’s all for today, my friends!

Thank you for stopping by!

Goodmorning & happy Friday Maja Fans,

Today I have a layout to share with you all in honor of being a mom. In life we all want our kids to grow up and be amazing young people and trust in what they can achieve…..Our boy is a charming 12 year old kiddo and I love him to the moon and back. Yesterday was a disaster day of creating that I tore a whole layout apart and threw it away! Am I the only one? Or are there more of you that have that sometimes. A couple of day’s ago I also deleted all my inbox messages from my hotmail too….so I think I am having a bad week lol. Hopefully all will get better soon so I don’t feel like I do now which is rushed…

I used the pretty Nyhavn sheet as my background and added two other colors to make the picture pop of my layout. It’s totally a different style then what I was creating before I trew it away….because that was all pink and girly. I really love to create with pink but this time it didn’t work at all. I used some stencils on my background with some black paste this time.

All the chipboard peices are treated with ink, spray’s, acrylic paint and embossing powder and they are all by Dusty Attic. I also added a flair too I am totally hooked on those at the moment.

The flowers I used are from three different companies which are 49 and Market, Petaloo and Prima. I love making flower clusters like these. They add so much to your page at least that is what I think do you agree with me??

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a photo I’ve taken in Dublin of “The Wishing Hand”, an enormous bronze hand sculpture designed by Linda Brunker.

The Wishing Hand by Pascale B.

To make my background, I added first some paints on a stencil before applying it on the paper. When the stencil was still on the paper, I added some crackle paste.

When everything was dry I added some gray colors to the background.

As usual I used the Twinkling H2Os to color the leaves and the gray flowers, and I sprayed the purple ones with  a Primary Element.

I added some glass beads and micro beads to finish the layout.
