Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

I’m sorry to dissapoint you if you expected some good ol’ rock now – even though I love that Guns’n’Roses’ classic, this post is going to be about a true sweet child of mine πŸ˜‰

Going through some photos I took just two years ago I’ve been shocked to see how my eldest boy has changed! He’s no longer a sweet kiddo, and although he’s a sweet young man now I still miss that little boy of whom I thought “He’s so big now” while taking that photo… And to embrace the sweetness theme of the layout, I used the Denim&Girls collection to make this layout πŸ™‚

I used scraps of various papers to mat the photo and to hand-cut some tags and banners to decorate it. I added flowers, acrylic gems, sequins and clay embellishments to complete my design. The title is composed of various golden foam letters – I used up some leftovers and added visual interest to the words as well πŸ™‚

As you can see, you can make a boy page using pink papers of a girly collection too πŸ˜‰ What do you think?

Here are my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: letters: American Crafts; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; button: Lemoncraft; sequins, gems, clay elements: my stash.

Thank you for visiting our blog today, make sure to come back for some more inspiration every day πŸ™‚

Happy

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

It always amazed me how kids can be happy about pretty much anything. But there is not greater joy than that when their dreams come true. And which little boy doesn’t dream about a bike? I was lucky enough to have captured that joy – my younger son’s first ride on a “big” bike πŸ™‚

Just look at his beaming face πŸ™‚

I didn’t actually plan to use these papers, but they happen to perfectly match the colour palette of the photo, so…yep, it’s March and I’m still using the Christmas collection πŸ˜‰ I layered pieces of papers upon a neutral cream background of papers from other collections, which I decorated with a brickwall pattern using a Prima stencil – I wanted to repeat the pavement pattern. I know, it’s not perfect, but it’s close enough. I also added some die-cut tags:

To enhance the photo’s theme, I added a chipboard bike:

…and to enhance the photo’s golden mood, I added some golden accents:

Of course, I couldn’t do without some flowers πŸ™‚

I’m so glad I managed to take this photo! Now I can cherish this sweet memory so nicely completed with these beautiful Christmas Season papers πŸ™‚

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers, stencil: Prima; chipboard: Tim Holtz, wycinanka; button: Lemoncraft; foam word: American Crafts; twine: Divine Twine.

And that’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Good morning, dear Visitors to the Maja Design blog πŸ™‚

Today I have a layout to share, featuring a photo of my younger son with his signature look, that is smiling widely πŸ™‚

Since the moment he was born he was a very joyful child, always positive and ready to play. When I look through our family album, on almost all photos he looks like this:

Of course, there are moments of a worse mood, especially now that he is in his early teens, but if I were to characterise him in one word, that would be “smiley” πŸ™‚ And I wanted to document this in my layout.

For my page I used one of our older Christmas collections, I Wish (I always use Christmas papers for non-holiday projects, usually the papers are too beautiful to use them once a year! πŸ™‚ ) The design is very simple: just a couple of banners, some buttons and the title made of chipboard sticker alphabet:

I also added some stamping in the background:

In the flwoer cluster I put a clay face that looks very similar to my boy’s smile πŸ™‚

I do hope my son would always have a reason to smile!

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Tim Holtz; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts, Prima; molds: Prosvet; art clay: Martha Stewart; cotton ribbon: Prima; buttons Dovecraft, glitter ink: 13@rts.

And that’s all for today, see you soon!

Good morning, dear Visitors, welcome to the Maja Design blog πŸ™‚

After a series of projects I created with the latest Celebration collection I return to one of my all-time favourites, Denim & Friends. I just love the colours and patterns of these papers! And here’s the layout I made:

The design of the page is my version of the clean&simple style πŸ˜‰ I didn’t want to cover the beautiful background paper too much, so I matted the photo with just a couple of tags and a flower cluster mounted on a chipboard clock face:

I also decorated the paper with some stamping and a delicate brick pattern that I added with a stencil and modeling paste. The art clay angel wing adds some lightness to the darker colours:

I die-cut the layout title from the brown Monochromes set matching the collection – I’m so happy Maja started to release the plain papers sets, they save the pain of sacrificing beautiful patterned papers for matting and small elements πŸ˜€

Though it’s not the classic clean&simple page, I still like the way it turned out – light and fresh πŸ™‚ What do you think?

And here’s the list of supplies I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: die: Kesi’art; stamp: My Favourite Things; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; stencil: Tim Holtz; chipboard: Wycinanka, button: Lemoncraft; wing mold: Prosvet.

Thank you for visiting today and see you later πŸ™‚

Hello Maja Friends,

today I have a very special project to share with you.

Actually I prepared another creation for my blog post, but last week my Grandmother has died. She was 90 years old. And before hear death I made a huge family album for one of my friend, for her Granny who had an anniversary. They took all her photos , collected during her life and asked me to make a beautiful album and put it all those old pictures , about 200 of them.

So I didn’t plan to share this album , but I have been thinking a lot about the family and old people these days. I have a stong wish to collect all my family phots and especially of my Granny. I need to make an album for us, to keep her alive in our mind.

So that’s why I would like to share some of the pages from the album I’ve made for my friend. Not all of them, but just some . and you know what, Vintage Autumn Basics is a perfect collection if you want to find a perfect match for the pictures taken late 1890ss and teh first half of 20 century.

This is the picture that shows how large is the album . The pages inside are of 30*30 cm ( 12*12 inches)

I didn’t add many of the embellishments, such as flowers or any dimensional one, as I wanted to keep more space for tons of the photos.

But I made several dies and paper strips.

and made some fussy cutting

The pages look simple, but they show the rich and beautiful Maja papers, so vintage, dark and from those days.
