Layout

Hello my friends and happy Sunday to all!!!

Mary here with you today sharing my latest layout using papers from the beautiful ”Vintage Romance” collection.

When I found on Pinterest that beautiful photo I wanted to create a romantic layout.  And, before I continue I want to give all the proper credits to the photographer.

Close Up 1

For my background, I used the ”Love Notes” paper and I made some layers on it with some torn pieces from the ”She’s my Lady” and the ”Passion” papers.

Close up 2

I primed the background with clear gesso and when it was dried, I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil. Then, I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays ”Cotton Candy Pink”, ”Salt Water Taffy” and ”Cheshire Cat Cherry” to give some color.

Close up 3

I heat embossed the title and the chipboard pieces from the ”Moroccan Panel” with  ”Gilded Burgundy Brass” Lindy’s Stamp Gang embossing powder. The ”Leafy Silhouettes” chipboards were also embossed with ”Cafe au Lait”. The chipboards I used are 2crafty and the flowers are Prima Marketing.

Close up 4

To finish, I added some licorice glass beads and made some splatters with the sprays I used before.

That’s all for today, my friends!

Thank you for stopping by!

Hello, it’s Elena here today.

I’ve got used to create a lot of floral cards late winter, however it’s not easy to stop cards with Maja papers at all.

Spring Card by Elena Olinevich for Maja Design1

Sometimes I wonder what else I can do while creating my cards with Maja. New shapes, new floral composition or something else?

It ‘s really can be a challenge somehow, however I enjoy making them.

Recently I’ve started meking several similar cards at once. It saves me the time and allows to experiment with the paper layers, using almost the same sketch.

I do create vertical cards rarely. so it’s a good chance to try something new.

I’ve added some lace , made the sticthing and layered the flowers on the top.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Enjoying Outdoor collection.

So Sweet by Pascale B

I started by priming the background with clear gesso. When dry, I sprayed some ink on a plastic bag, then I put my page on the plastic bag. I repeat the process twice with two different ink: one brown, one purple.

So Sweet by Pascale B

When the inks were dry, I added a design with a stencil and white crackle paste.

So Sweet by Pascale B

I cut a few papers to add under the photo.

So Sweet by Pascale B

I added a few flowers and leaves that I glued with a 3D gel. Then I added a few Art Stones.

So Sweet by Pascale B

When everything wad perfectly glued, I added more color as well as some random stamping.

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

When the days are still dull and short there’s no better remedy than some colour therapy! 🙂 And so I returned to the bright and cheerful Summertime collection and created two cards. The first one is in red tones:

I layered and distressed some papers. Then I added a couple of paper straws as the background for my embellishments:

mdred1

I added roses that correspond to the ones in the background and a cute heart frame:

mdred2

I completed the design with some glistening gem stones:

mdred3

And then I thought of fans of blue 😉 And made this card in a similar way:

Again, I layered papers and added some paper straws:

There’s an ornate frame too, inside which I placed a butterfly button:

The flower cluster in matching colours and beautiful lace complete the whole:

Here are the papers I used:

Other: art clay, gold paint: Martha Stewart; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; button: Lemoncraft; molds, paper straws, lace – my stash.

And which one do you like more?

See you soon!
