Jennifer Snyder here  celebrating with a special cake made using Maja Design’s new collection, Denim & Girls.

Fun and flirty, sporty and classic – it’s all in the collection.  A little pink  and a little blue for that perfect balance to be used on masculine and feminine cards and projects.

And don’t forget about the  monochrome collection,  Shades of Denim, with newly released colors created to perfectly coordinate with Denim & Girls.

Here are the papers I used from the new collection:
Ripped Jeans

Loose Fit
Roses
Vintage Pink – Monochrome

The adorable cake design was created using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month.   The delicate die makes a great pair for the beautiful new collection.

This is your new Maja Design  “must have’ collection.  Go ahead  – add it right to your list.
The collection was made to coordinate and accent the Denim & Friends collection.  The Monochrome  papers – Shades of Monochrome , are also perfectly matched.

Thanks for stopping here and happy crafting.

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Welcome to the Maja Design Blog! I hope this day finds you well and enjoying some cozy crafty time. It’s Nancy with you today.

I’m super excited for two reasons. The first is that I just received Maja Design’s brand new paper collection, Denim & Girls! From the moment I laid eyes upon it I knew it was an instant favorite, and I’m thrilled to be sharing a new card created from this beautiful collection.

The second reason I’m so excited is that I’m hosting a GIVEAWAY on my blog for the next two weeks! The winner will receive an entire collection of their choice of Maja Design papers!! You can find instructions for entering on my blog at mytatteredtreasures.blogspot.com.

This is actually going to be my granddaughter’s birthday card. In our family we have what we call ‘the circle of favorites’ which includes every one of us. When the grandchildren come to visit the first thing I hear as the door opens is, “your favorites are here!”, and I run to them with hugs and kisses saying, “my favorites are here!” Needless to say, the sentiment ‘favourite’ that I found in the paper collection is ideal for Savannah’s card.

The flowers are handcrafted using Monochromes Shades of Denim for a perfectly coordinated embellishment.

Below is a little peek at the inside of the card.

The tiny paper flowers are fussy cut from the collection. The finishing touch is a twine bow adding the frilly finish I love.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Products Used: Natural Twine, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Dies, Flower Shaping Kit, Flower Stamens,  Tim Holtz Distress Tool, Sewing Machine, Thread.

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today! It’s such an honor to be here with you. I wish everyone a week filled with sunshine and happy moments! Don’t forget to stop by my blog to enter into the giveaway!

Hugs,

Welcome Maja friends. I hope this post has found you happy and well. Tina with you today to share a layout project created using a mix of papers from differing Maja Design collections.

I have called this “My Sunshine”.

My background page was made using the Fika’s Sockerkaka and Crea Diems Sin lyckas smed. I created a framework 2.5 cm around the Sockerkaka paper and distressed it heavily. I then added Crea Diems Sin lyckas smed behind Sockerkakato allow the blue to shine through.

Vintage Pink

The sheet of Det skrivna består was cut into rectangular mats in differing sizes. I also added some rectangular mattings in differing sizes using Monochromes shades of Denim in Vintage Pink. These were all distressed heavily and randomly adhered together. I mounted the whole piece including the photo upon some 3D mounting tape and adhered it to the left of the layout.

I have used this adorable photo of my eldest daughter who just turned 18 this month. And because she has just turned that fabulous number I have used the Skeleton clockfaces to represent time gone past. I used two clocks from the collection and cut the smaller one in half to sit at the right of my layout.

The clockfaces were primed with white gesso and then coloured with Inka Golds in Hydrangea.

I have also used a panel of the Heart Attack Small.  For this project I decided to simply emboss the full panel with Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel from Stampendous. I cut the panel into quite a few pieces and layered them around and in between layers of the Maja Design papers and lace and of course the other chipboards and flowers. Some of the itty bitty hearts I took out of the panel and scattered them around and through the clusters. You can see below the hearts taken out separately.

The Dusty title Sunshine was also dressed in the shabby blue enamel. You can see it above. The tiny weeny specs of gold that shine through are just so cute.

I have used lots of distressing to highlight the layers of papers also. Some sanding of my papers was also done to create the shabby style look. You can see this above.

I have also used one half of the pack of Ornate Scrolls another one of my favourite pieces. this was cut into two and divided behind the photo. I dressed this piece in Crackle Texture Paste and coloured it a little with the Hydrangea Inka Gold and some Ranger Star Dust Stickles to make it shine.

I have also used some gorgeous Birch lace cut into segments.

And that is all from me today. Until next time take care and happy creating.

Hello, our blog fans. Today I created the card in the box. It was an individual order and the most important thing was to use the Peacock motif.  I matched digital graphic and then found the paper. I mixed different collection – the most important was to find the best shades of blue paper.

To create the background I used a paper sheet from Monochromes Collection.  Modeling paste was applied by the mask and then I just compose the rest.

I’m really happy about the final result. Hope you will like it to. Hugs, Paulina

Hello.  Jennifer Snyder here to  share my project using Maja Design’s new Denim & Girls paper collection.

What a gorgeous collection this is too!  Maja Design always out shines with each new collection.
I paired the feminine beauty and grace of the collection with a delicate die from Spellbinders designed by Becca Feeken.

Here are the papers I chose from Denim & Girls collection by Maja Design:

Tough But Sweet
Embroidered Jeans
And a solid from the Monochrome -Shades of Denim collection – Vintage Pink

The colors and images on the new Maja Design collection are delicate, fun and still a bit sporty.
OK – how can they be both delicate and sporty?  Because…polka dots and stripes, dare I say more?  haaaaa.  Who doesn’t love a great sporty polka dot pattern!

Don’t be fooled by the name of the collection, Denim & Girls.  The collection offers an array of stripes, checkered patterns and dots that can be used for the more masculine project as well.

Here are a few more looks at my card for Mother’s Day.  The patterns of the collection are absolutely breathtaking.   This “MUST HAVE” collection is shipping now and will arrive in your favorite Maja Design Retail store soon.

Here is a great tool to help you shop.  The Maja Design Store Finder.

Thanks for stopping today.  Watch for more inspiration using the gorgeous new Denim & Girls collection.
