Hi everyone! Today I will show you a tag I made playing with the new and gorgeous papers from the latest Christmas collection, the Christmas Season. I just love them!

Being a teacher before Christmas is always busy, so I am so sorry I haven’t gotten the time to play more with these papers. But now it is holiday, and I have even baked some cookies, and cleaned the house! Last night we put up the Christmas tree, and filled it with glitter, flags and ornaments. In my family we always had to wait till the day before Christmas to decorate the tree. But this year we were a day early. My son (5) had so looked forward to it!

The papers I have used are from the mini papers. I have cut out the small cards and put them up to the left on the tag. They are so cute.

The image is from Magnolia. And I have embossed it with white embossing paper on black card stock. I use the back of the one called Raven.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

With love,

Welcome and hello Maja Design friends. Tina Ollett here with you today to share a Christmas creation using not the new release collection but the Denim and Friends Collection. Well it is that time of the year when I get behind on absolutely everything including my Design Team work. And if I can use the quote “to kill two birds with one stone” that is exactly what I have done to ease my workload for this week. I have combined my Design Team work for Maja with the Dusty Attic Design Team work and used their Moodboard for this month. And to do this I had to use a different collection. So therefore the use of Denim and Friends.

Streetwear

Streetwear b side

My layout started with just three pieces of Streetwear from the Denim and Friends collection. I used the teal green for the base and tore the second piece using the opposite side with stars. I simply tore a section top and bottom and then roll sections after distressing and sanding my papers.

Once my background was finished I then used the leftover papers to create some matting base for my 4 x 6 portrait black and white photo. You can see above the layers of Streetwear used to do this above.

I also added in a little stamping on my project and some textures with Sand Texture paste through a stencil and also splatters of acrylic white paint.

I used distress inks mixed with gesso to colour my flowers and also some of the Dusty Attic chipboards that I selected to use for this project.

I decided at the very end of my project to add in some gorgeous laces. It just seemed a little empty without pops of white. I also added in a little distressed muslin.

Well that is all from me today. I do hope you enjoyed my post. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very safe and merry Christmas. I hope Christmas brings all the special things your heart desires.

Until next year take care.

Peace & Joy

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

Christmas is just around the corner! I just can’t wait to decorate the Christmas tree (which we always do on Christmas Eve morning) and for the home to fill with wonderful smell of Christmas cooking 🙂 But what is most important is who I’m spending my Christmas with – meeting all my loved ones at the Christmas Eve table and visiting as many relatives as we can during Christmas days. Because love, peace and joy are most valuable gifts of the holiday. And that’s what my layout is about:

I made it using our latest collection, Christmas Season. I just love the traditional colour palette of this collection and all the vintage images!

First I layered some papers in the background and added some stamping. Then I added the matting arrangement of papers for the photo:

I also added some doily pattern using a stencil and texture paste:

Another white accent is the guipure lace border and enamel dots that imitate the snow falling:

I added the flower cluster with a felt snowflake and some crystals around the Christmas wishes tag I cut out from the Ephemera sheet:

What would be a hoilday layout without some glam? I added golden buttons, glitter cardstock diecuts and foam gold metallic letter for the title:

Here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: letters: American Crafts; stamps: Tim Holtz; dies: Magnolia; stencil: Agateria;  flowers: Prima; buttons: Dovecraft; wooden embellishments: BoBunny; snowflake, lace: my stash

And since this is my last post this year, I wish you a Merry Christmas filled with peace, love and joy and a Happy New Year!

See you in January 🙂

Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer with you today. I have another festive season card with the newest Christmas Season collection by MajaDesign. In Russia we mainly celebrate New Year, so this time the sentiment is for this holiday. This collection again has the cutest images and the heroes are just so adorable. Just have a look at the Ephemera sheet. I actually used the images from the big 12 by 12 sheet, and all the papers are from the small paper pad.

some close ups:

lots of layers with chipboard and die cutting with the machine.

Have a lovely weekend,
