Well hello and good morning to you all,

It’s me again Amy and today I would like to share something special with you all. Jennifer the boss of The Dusty Attic celebrated her 40th birthday this month and her friend Jen The Dusty Attic design team coordinator, aka her friend surprised her with a massive scrapbook with all pages of every design team member that is currently designing for them including me. Oh boy was she surprised when she got it Jen made a video for us to watch which was great to see….This is the layout that I made using two Maja Design collections “Vintage Summer Basics” and my favorite “Vintage Autumn Basics” on this layout I used a bunch of chipboard pieces that I treated with the amazing rust paste by Finnabair {did I tell you I am hooked on that stuff} and acrylic paint.

I used a lot of mixed media techniques on this layout and use products like tissue paper, ink, stamps, sprays, art stones, glass glitter on my layout. If you know me a little by now you know that I really like to incorporate metal embellishments on my work and on this layout I used a whole bunch of those as you can see 😉

Also I added two different stencils with paste and a little glass jar with a piece of paper that wishes her a happy birthday. I really had fun making this layout and this page gave me that yeahhhh feeling that I haven’t felt in a “long” time since I started scrapbooking twelve years ago…..maybe the reason for that is that this one was made as a gift for someone which is always a lot of fun to make someone feel special.

This time the flowers are by Petaloo and not hand made like I normally do which sometimes is great because making handmade flowers will take a lot of time to make which I sometimes don’t have since I work too……I feel really special to be working for three amazing crafting companies that I sometimes feel like I am dreaming. I am planing to give a class for a bunch of Dutch ladies on how I make my layouts {using Maja Design papers of course} …what I find very scary although I did it once before. You will find more about it on my Facebook page in the near future.

Did you ever feel like you some how can’t finish a page that you started? What I do when that happens I put my layout aside and start all over again….and when it’s another day I just take out that layout again and then {somehow it works} I finish it and those are mostly the prettiest pages I make weird right?

Maja Design papers used: no.XVI from the Vintage Autumn Basics collection & 1943 bs, 1912 bs, 1904 bs and 1891 from the Vintage Summer Basics collection.

Hi lovely friends,

Today I would like to share some cards with you using different Maja Design collections. I have to say I am totally hooked on using Maja Design papers so for every project I make I always think which of their collections will fit my theme…..all the cards I will show you today where made for my DT work at Cheery Lynn Designs {a die manufacturer}! But using my precious Maja Design papers……

Sweet Love:

For this shaker card I used the pretty “Vintage Romance” collection and just plain creme card stock and a bunch of dies. I really love the dimension of the flowers that’s what the papers do because of the high quality they are.

For my third card I used the amazing “Vintage Autumn Basics” collection and for the centers of my flowers I used micro beads which I think worked out really pretty. The background sheet with the blue flowers is one of my favorite papers from this collection.

Hello dear friends, its Evgenia Petzer with you. I am sharing today two sweet cards that are made from the Coffee in the Arbour collection. When it was just released it became one of my favourites, but I didn’t play with it for quite a while and this time my hands just pulled that paper pad out and then I found those images with macarons in my stash and the cards came out quite quick and easy.

some close ups:

the butterflies are again fussy cut from the Maja papers.

The second card is more in yellow tones, again some lace, chipboard and stitching. I love that Maja design papers have those little stripes of paper in the bottom with some matching designs or words, I often use them in my cards.maja_petzer_coffee_in_the_arbour_card2

Have a lovely weekend that is coming our way!

I am so excited and happy to get to share something beautiful! My sweet daughter’s wedding!

We filled this room with Paper, Pearls, and Lace!

Who knew such a beautiful display could be made from paper….

Although, not just any paper could pull off such a gorgeous spread. It took around 200 sheets of beautiful Maja paper mixed with a few others to pull off this massive creation…. and about 4 months of my time. Yep, I made every single one of those layered pinwheel flowers. I must say, it was worth every single minute. Many, many thanks to Maja’s Marie and Camilla for sending such a generous box to make this project possible!

We carried the paper theme through out the entire reception,

which took place in a warehouse style, rustic, shabby art studio.

We filled the walls with large engagement photos and strung a handmade paper banner over the gift table…

The tables were embellished with gold candle sticks topped with handmade pearl balls,

fabric and paper flower balls, along with altered stacks of books and strings of pearls…

Lights with paper and fabric lanterns hung from the ceiling…

Hi there! I am back with a wedding card I made last month. I got a request to make a card that should be large enough to contain greetings from several persons. And ofcours I had to use the Vintage Romance collection for this card!

Vintage-Romance-P

The groom is interested in cars, so I then I chose this image on the stamp.

IMG_3992

I made the heart by cutting out a Spellbinder heart from bazzill paper, then I glued on several flowers. I have also painted them with white Gesso. Behind the heart I have put som cheese  cloth and a heart doily. Then some corrugated paper that also is painted with white gesso. On the right side I have a small pocket, with two tags inside. The tages are made with DooHickey dies from Magnolia.

IMG_3993

Up to the left I have placed two more tags “So wrapped lovely” (Magnolia). They are so beautiful in Maja Design’s pattern papers.

IMG_3996

The small butterflies are from the Vintage Spring Basics collection and the “6th of May” sheet. I cut them out with scissors, and add some walnut stain ink to the edges of the wings. Under you can see the tags with a beautiful sentiment from Stempelglede.

IMG_4000

A close up of two keys, also made with DooHickey dies. You can also see that all paper edges are inked with Distress Ink pad – Walnut Stain. And I have used my sewing machine on the papers too.

IMG_4004

On the card inside to write on I have coloured a wedding couple from Magnolia with Distress Ink re-inkers. The swirls are made with a Stempelglede stamp. As you might see, the card is actually a decorated paper bag.

IMG_4012

The black/silver charm is glued on to the heart.

IMG_4016

The small flowers are also cut out from Maja Design papers, inked and added Stickles-Star Dust. In the middle I have put some liquid pearls. I have used a retro flower punch for the flowers.

Here is the back of the card and the card to write on.

And the front of the card… 🙂
