Hello Everyone <3

Today I’m here with a little extra Christmas inspiration to you <3

About two weeks ago I made a box with 8 sides. I made the box my self using thick cardbord also known as chipboards 12×12. When I made this box I would give it a little extra Christmas spirit <3

On the side of the box, I used a Martha Stewart Punch called Eyelet Lace, this is a new personal favorite of mine. The snowflakes are a dies set from Tim Holtz called Mini Snowflake. The set is two snowflakes, and on my box I have placed some of them on top each other. I also decorated these with snow from a box and plastic snow.

The lid of the box is also cut out from chipboards and both sides have patterned paper, even at the edges. The top lid I’ve covered with alot of snow from a box and snow made from plastic. I have made my self a  little Christmas story on the top. Christmas Carols in the Snow <3

On the lid I’ve used several dies from Tim Holtz. The Christmas tree in the background is put together with a dies named Evergreen <3 The Deer is from a set with two, called Reindeer Fligthe and the pair where the lady sings and the man plays, named Victorian Carolers. The other details are mushrooms, packages with some bullfinks. The bullfinks is a dies from kaBoks.

The Christmas tree is made from 16 trees that two and two are glued together. This is to get the patterned paper on both sides. In the tree you can see that I have used several Bullfinch.

Below the tree I have 3 red mushrooms and on the other side you’ll find a deer.

The packages I’ve put together myself without a tutorial. Also these are covered with snow and two of them I have placed some birds on.

When you remove the lid, you will see that I have covered the inside with patterned paper and pearl string.

The idea for the project I got when I saw the dies set with the lady and the gentleman from Tim Holtz. I just knew I had to make one project with this and give them the right Christmas atmosphere they deserve <3

For this box I have used paper from different collection from Maja Design:

I wish you all a great weekend <3

Hello Everyone <3

Today it is me, Silje Kristin that will inspire you, with something I’ve never have done before.

This weekend I took a trip down to southern Norway, and visited a lovely town called Tønsberg. I traveled on Thursday to have the entire weekend along with scrapping happy ladies. I’m having a great time, and some great days here at the scrapbooking event. I have meet many new and wonderful scrappers and enjoyed hours after hours with papers.

Do you remember my last post? I told you I’d show you one big project. I was then in a scrapbooking event here in my home town, Bodø. That weekend I spent 21 hours making something I’ve never tried before. The inspiration I got from an intro of a TV series and the winter theme.

I decided to create one ferris wheel. The ferris wheel is made without a tutorial. I used about five hours to make the two wheels. Around the wheels I have attached white pearl string. The ferris wheel is assembled in the same as the wheels. Also these, I’ve created without a tutorial.

In between the wheels I have attached paper straws, which I have distressed with Distress Mini Ink. On every paper straws, a small trolley hanging down. The trolleys are made of four circles. I’ve used a thin white tape around, to create a special effect.

On the front on the wheels, I have some big snow crystals, these are wood from Wycinanka. I have covered them with snow and glitter from Distress Ink.

The details I have made and placed around the ferris wheel are made by hand. Here you will find shoes, snowmen, christmas trees, deer, christmas gifts and bullfinch.

The shoes are painted white, and then I have some snow and glitter on them <3

I have made two snowmen, which are made with a tutorial that I have made myself. Both snowmen are covered with snow and glitter, that you can see is everywhere on the project.

Behind the ferris wheel and at the front, I have some deer. This is a dies set from Marianne Design.

On the green chrismas trees I’ve used glitter and snow.  In and on the trees you can see christmas baubles in blue and  bullfinch.

The bullfinch is a dies set from kaBoks, this is one set of three size and they are perfect to have between flowers, or as I have done, glued them on the christmas trees <3

The final details of the project are tree packages in three sizes. Each package has its own tag, ribbon and snow <3

If you put all the details together, you have a lovely winter wonder land, with wonderful snow and glitter <3

The entire project is made on the back of a shelf. In the corners I have attached silver feet and atop of the brown carton I have covered it all with white snow and glitter.

I have used paper from two diffrent collections from Maja Design.

I hope you are inspired to create your own winter wonderland <3

Hello Everyone
Today it is me Silje Kristin, that will inspire you <3
It’s finally Sunday, and I’m ready for my new post for Maja Design <3
This time I’ll show you a couple of large boxes, that were in a Norwegian Scrapbooking magazine, Ett Trykk.
I have decorated two tin boxes some lovely Maja sheets.
On this boxes I’ve used patterned papers from Maja Design’s collection The Vintage Spring Basics.
This is one of my favorite collection, the colors in the sheets is lovely and complex with the pattern. Its makes it easy to mix sheets and colors to the projects you create.
I have chosen to use the blue sheets from the collection.
Vintage-Spring-Basics-P
I came across these tin boxes in a Norwegian store, called Sisters Grene. I removed the metal fasteners behind the box and lock in the front, before I dresses the sides with paper from Maja Design.
All the edges are blackened with distress Walnut Stain.
Both boxes are decorated with the same details. Instead of using a lot of flowers I decided to use metal details.
The biggest box stands on four large metal corner feet. The brown ribbon, going round the box and is fastned in metal from Tim Holtz. I have also used white metal plates with words from Prima: Bliss – Care – Home. On the lid I have used metal corner, but in the other corner you will see brown brads.
The metal clasp on the front is from Fab Scraps.
On the side of this box I’ve put together words on eatch side, Thankful and Treasure.
The butterflies are from one set from BoBunny with three butterflies dies.
On the smallest box, you will find the same metal decorations as the largest box. Metal plates on this is with numbers and words: 52 – Love – 24. The metal feet are smaller on this box then the bigest one.
On the side of this box, you will find two new words: Adore and Love.
The words give a whole to the boxes and what they symbolize <3
To the boxes I’ve created two different tags, punched out with one set of dies from Nellie Snellen.
On the tags on the bigest box I have used one dies from kaBoks with one word
Fantastic on. Metal decorations on this is charms and a amulet with the words Faith – Hope – Love. The tag are attached with metal rings to the lid on the box.
I have also used a butterfly and some brownbrads.
On the smaller box is the tag slightly smaller. The metal decor is a big key and a small key, I’ve also attached a smal eifel tower on this tag also.
I also spent a die from kaBoks with the words Luck on.
The Butterflies are blackened with the same Distress used elsewhere on the boxes.
The back of the boxes are simple, here are just the metal loops that secure the lid to the box.
And this is my Vintage Travel Boxes, made with the most beautiful sheets from Maja Design <3

Have a GREAT day everyone <3
