Hi there Maja fans!
Ingrid here today with a heart wreath created with the gorgeous Ska Vi Ta En Fika collection.
Valentine’s Day is coming up so this post is all about love.
The wreath originally was dark brown so this was treated with a firm coat of gesso first.
All the flowers were handmade from the Fika papers.
I also made the wrinkled strips of paper to imitate some ribbon.
The flowers are so easy to make.
Just punch two different sizes of flowers, make them wet and let them dry a bit.
Crumble them up and use a brad to hold them together.
For these flowers I used two large flowers and one small one.
The paper strips were given the same treatment, just wet them, crumble and let dry.
The white flower ribbon is given the wreath a lovely romantic feel.
The leaves chipboard, as all of the chipboard, is from Imaginarium Designs and got a coat of gesso.
Love all the beautiful colors and patterns from the Fika papers.
The butterflies chipboards got a coat of gesso first.
I used a tooth pick to make the patterns (when the gesso is still wet) on the wings.
Used some puffy paint on the letters to give them a great texture.
Papers used:
mandelkaka m plommon, soders hojder, hemma hos mig, hemgjord saft, nybakat, lejas caf’e.
Other products used: chipboard from Imaginarium Design, mini roses, flower ribbon from Prima, white thread, puffy paint, gesso.
Wishing you all a wonderful Valentine’s Day and remember:
All you need is LOVE!!!
hugs,
xxx
