Welcome, dear Maja Fans, to the blog today 🙂
With the beginning of spring usually the wedding season begins. The warmer it becomes, the more willing are people to promise each other love and care till death do them part 🙂 And so it is also a busy period for cardmakers – having a couple of cards in stock seems a good idea to me. Here are two shabby chic wedding cards I made using the Vintage Spring collection:
One card is the DL size, as I wanted to include a chipboard quotation and a flower cluster:
I chose the purple-green combo, perhaps not very popular for weddings, but it reminds me of blooming crocuses 🙂 I also included a metal charm of two hearts intertwined like weddin rings:
I partially inked the chipboard piece and covered it in glitter for a more glamorous look. The whole composition is mounted upon a piece of lace that looks like a bride’s veil:
The other card is in purples too, but with a touch of pink this time.
I combined two chipboard pieces – a cute image of the newlyweds on a tandem bike is placed inside a decorative frame.
I added small pink and purple roses with glitter and a pearl brad upon a lace bow. It all gives the look of a light, cheerful ceremony in the shabby style. PErfect for a friend’s wedding!
