Hello! Welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here with you on this beautiful Tuesday. A week ago I posted a complete tutorial for paper roses, so I’m using some of my handmade blossoms to bring this secret garden to life. I have a passion for secret gardens. Honestly, I can’t get enough of them. My home, Charleston, is filled with private gardens sequestered behind tall brick walls with elaborate wrought iron gates. I’m always trying to peek beyond the gates to glimpse the beauty that lies beyond.
You don’t have to peek around massive iron gates to visit my garden! Inside you are greeted by distressed Maja Design papers, layered die cut doilies, abundant handcrafted blooms, shabby resin embellishments, and a sweet stamped sentiment.
You can create your own rose garden anytime you wish by checking out the tutorial presented here on the Maja Design Blog last Tuesday.
Maja Design Papers Used:
Additional Products Used: Magnolia Rose Leaf Die, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die, Doily Die, Tim Holtz Distress Tool, Tim Holtz Mini Mister, Impression Obsession Stamp, Archival Ink, Twine, Melissa Frances Resin Lock & Key, Adhesive, Sewing Machine, Thread.
Thank you so very much for sharing your time with me! Don’t forget to check out our February Mood Board Challenge. We just launched it this week, so you have plenty of time to participate. May this day bring you untold joys and creative adventures!

WAUW this is sooo gorgeous Nancy, I absolutely love the warm feeling it shows everywhere on this card here, and your flowers are really beautiful too. I also totally LOVE this stamp, is it a new one, as I don´t recall, I´ve ever seen this from IO stamps before, but now I sure have to go and have a look again, as it´s really cool. Have a wonderful day and hopefully you´ll be able to see a lot more of Charlestons gorgeous gardens in the time to come, when they´ll blossom even more.
Thank you so much, Maryann! I messed up on the brand of the stamp because I put it away in the wrong package. I need to go in and change it. It is from Red Lead. It comes in a pack of two stamps with flower verses on them. Sorry about the mix up.
Hugs,
Nancy
An amazing flower creation and so lovely colors and papers. I like the design of stitched papers, embellishment and sentiment.
Thank you so much, Petra!
Your work is unique Nancy and I enjoy seeing each new creation, it is inspirational and here you really have maximised the use of the Maja papers, just glorious!
Thank you so very much, Helen!!
