Happy Thursday Maja friends! Here in the United States we’re gearing up for our country’s birthday, July 4th. Another reason for the Ewen family to celebrate is the birthday of our patriarch, affectionately known as ‘Cheesie’ (as in Big Cheese), my husband, Guy. His mom told him when he was younger that the fireworks that accompany every July 4th celebration were just for him. Though he’s old enough to realize that is no longer the case, we still have quite a celebration for him, including a big barbecue, a huge ice cream cake, and yes, lots of fireworks. Tomorrow’s festivities will also include this card here:Â This card features the Life by the Sea collection. I added some die cut stars, wooden stars, sequin stars and some rustic twine. All of the edges are distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink and also roughed up a bit with a paper distresser. The stamp is courtesy of Verve’s American Hero set.
To my American friends…Happy 4th of July! To all my other friends…Happy 4th of July! 🙂 Have a great day and thanks for sharing a part of it with me!Â
