“Ska Vi Ta En Fika”…it’s such a gorgeous collection! I have a crush on purple, so I just love to focus on the purple papers that are part of this collection. Since I am not a big fan of coffee (“fika”) I decided to use the “Fika” collection in a slightly different way. Thus, I made this feminine and elegant lay-out with it.

I titled my lay-out ‘In de wolken’, which is a Dutch saying that is similar to the English expression ‘On cloud 9’. Just before this photo was taken, I got my hair treated with a curling iron. Since I was a little child, I always wished to wake up with curls some day, so I was really excited to have curls in my hair – even though it was only for one day.

As you can see, the warm colours in the “Fika” papers are just perfect for scrapping sepia toned photos. The possibilities with this collection are endless! 

The basis of my lay-out was made with two gingham papers from the “Fika” collection. I then cut out two squares from cream papers and punched along their edges. I layered the squares on top of the gingham papers. Then, I started doing some of my typical layering with doilies, papers and a cut out grid pattern from the “Hybakat” paper. In the end I also added some embellishments, clouds and a title to finish off my lay-out. Supplies:
