Hi everyone! Iris here again, and as you are reading this I am just on my way home from a vacation I took with my family in Korea. We were very excited to see the famed Cherry Blossoms of Korea during springtime, and to celebrate that season I created a spring layout for you…

The papers of Maja Design are so beautiful and delicate and I wanted to make a soft background for the flower patterns I hand cut from the Vintage Spring Basics line.

To achieve this, I started with a white water-colour paper and used stencils and thick gesso to create textured images. I then misted it and added watercolors to the flowers and leaves. As the paper dried, I simply added strips of paper and hand-cut paper from Maja Design….

 I love the soft and vintage look of these papers…
