Hello Maja Design friends. Jennifer Snyder here to share an anniversary card I created for my parents, using the Celebration collection.

My parents will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this week so I needed to create a special card but not overly frilly and embellished.  I thought the Celebration collection was a perfect fit because the beautiful patterns are very neutral yet eye catching and gorgeous.
Here are the papers I used from the collection:
Welcome and Good Times (A and B sides of paper)
My parents are very earth natural people so the browns from the collection will be nice.
The card was embellished using chipboard from Creative Embellishments. The chipboard words sum of the essence of their 60 years of marriage – a family filled with love.
The chipboard family frame was backed with lace to set is apart from the paper layer underneath.
One last close up of gorgeous Maja Design paper layers on this card.

Thank you for stopping today.   Happy crafting.

Hello and welcome back Maja friends. Today I am here to share my monthly project with Maja Designs papers. And I really couldn’t resist using this months moodboard, as these are my favourite colours! Thank you Marie for the fabulous inspiration.  Have you seen the moodboard yet? Well if not I have added it below for you.

There is still over a week left to enter the challenge if you wish to do so. The monthly winner wins a collection of Maja Designs of their own choice.

And this is my interpretation of the moodboard for September. This is “Memories”.

For my project I have combined two collections to allow for the moodboard. I have used the gorgeous polkadots from Denim and Girls with a sheet of the monochromes in sage and a sheet of 22th of December from the Vintage Frost. All three of these papers were used to create layers in the background of my photo. I love to do this so the interest is bought back to my photo. This photo is from a series of photos that I took a couple of years back. I do love these photos of my girls just caught up in a moment hanging together.

Easy Going – Denim and Girls

     Monochrome Denim – Light Sage

               22th of December bs

With keeping in line of the colours of the moodboard I have used some handmade moulds and coloured them in a rust and then some acrylic greens to compliment the papers. I have also used some cream flowers from 49andMarket to bring out the polkadots in the background. I added in a distressed doily and also some hand dyed ribbons to compliment the page.

Above you can see the addition of chicken wire. And no this is real. I was lucky enough to come across some miniature chicken wire. I have rusted these pieces which really brings up the added textures in the wires. I have also added in some highlights of bisque to add some of the orange shades from the moodboard. These are only very light but I feel made all the difference to the colours.

And from another angle you can see all the additional flowers in their layers added to the moulds.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my moodboard inspiration today. Please stay tuned for more gorgeous work from our Design Team.

Hello dear Maja friends!

Fall is knocking on our door and this is the most beautiful time for us after this most dryness and heat to go into the forest and enjoy the nature.

I always like to remember our childhood

where we used to play in the woods and look for adventures.

I used some beautiful vintage papers from the ‘Vintage Summer Basic’ collection,

here you can find a lot of various paper sheets in delicate colours, always suitable for a memory layout.

some details

Have you seen our awesome September Moodboard?

These wonderful autumn colours don’t only fit into this season,

they can also inspire to create a vintage project.

Thanks for your visit!

Happy crafting!

Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I’m sorry to dissapoint you if you expected some good ol’ rock now – even though I love that Guns’n’Roses’ classic, this post is going to be about a true sweet child of mine 😉

Going through some photos I took just two years ago I’ve been shocked to see how my eldest boy has changed! He’s no longer a sweet kiddo, and although he’s a sweet young man now I still miss that little boy of whom I thought “He’s so big now” while taking that photo… And to embrace the sweetness theme of the layout, I used the Denim&Girls collection to make this layout 🙂

I used scraps of various papers to mat the photo and to hand-cut some tags and banners to decorate it. I added flowers, acrylic gems, sequins and clay embellishments to complete my design. The title is composed of various golden foam letters – I used up some leftovers and added visual interest to the words as well 🙂

As you can see, you can make a boy page using pink papers of a girly collection too 😉 What do you think?

Here are my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: letters: American Crafts; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; button: Lemoncraft; sequins, gems, clay elements: my stash.

Thank you for visiting our blog today, make sure to come back for some more inspiration every day 🙂

Christmas in September

Jennifer Snyder here with Christmas in September.  I know summer has just faded and I promise I am not trying to rush the holidays.
I created a classic card that is simple but graceful – with a touch of rustic.
The collection used is an older collection,  Maja Design – I Wish Collection
and more specifically, I used the front and back of the same sheet, “I Wish Christmas Was Today”.
I really love the red plaid paper in this collection.  It’s rustic, vintage and totally gets me in the Christmas in September feeling.
I added a die with lightly inked edges and tied together with raffia for more old country feel.
Super easy.  Christmas cards do not need to be complex and complicated.  I find when I plan on making my holiday cards super complicated with a lot of embellishments, I never finish the cards.
The best card is the card that gets mailed.

Thanks for stopping.  Remember – it’s never too early to start those holiday cards!
