Hi there, Maja Fans!
Maja welcomes you to the blog today and invites to have a look a some celebrations cards.
I know many of you are cardmakers, so I thought I’d share some inspiration using the small paper pad as the images and designs are scaled down and thus are perfect for cards and small projects. I chose the Coffee in the Arbour collection – and here’s what I came up with. The first card is a wedding one:
I used the branch sheet for the background…
…as it looked very natural with the cute little birdhouse scene I created using a set of MFT dies:
For more interest, I gave the card the easel form:
The sentiment is the chipboard words. As the final touch, I added droplets of crystal perlen pen all over the card 🙂
The other card is for my mother-in-law’s birthday. She’s really a sweet loving woman and so I thought the image with a sweet cupcake would be perfect 🙂
I layered several papers and mounted the machine-sewn image on 3D foam for more dimension:
I also accented the cupcake details with glitter and traced its contours with a superfine marker to make it pop out of the scene:
I added a few miniroses that match the ones in the pciture:
I also die-cut a little box for the gift we’re planning to give her:
I hope she’d like the set – do you? 🙂

Those two cards and box are so beautiful! It’s nice to see some cards for those of us that are card-makers. 🙂 Thank you so much.
Both absolutely beautiful. Nicola x

Forgot to say, the birdhouse card is adorable!
