Hello, here is a card I made using the June Mood Board & the new Collection “Coffee in Arbour ”
From the Mood Board I used: the Coffee in the Arbour Collection, coffee, fresh colors, flourish, summer, checked, here & now, eyelets, paint, flowers,Enjoy this moment, homemade, recipe, sweet, water color & the quote.
From the Coffee in the Arbour Collection,I used:butterflies are free-BS,blueberry cupcake, blueberry cupcake-BS,lovely weather, lovely weather-BS,delicious moments,Grandma’s old porcelain & a BS of a label. The chipboard used is from Dusty Attic. Here are some closeups of detail….
Shows distressed layers, using some corrugated paper & burlap in my layers. I used TA chalkboard decadence on the wordlet, then inked the edges using a brown ink pad…..
I used decadence TA on the frame part of the frame,& a dark brown marker for the vine part. On the leaves I used DA forrest acrylic paint, then DA crackle varnish & once the crackle dried,I dry painted on some DA crushed olive acrylic paint….( I dip my brush into the paint, then brush onto a piece of paper, then onto the leaves)..
The flowers used are from Petaloo & the burlap is prima….
Shows some punch work & hand stitching….
I covered the pot & cups with grandma’s old porcelain paper, then applied a coat of clear varnish….
I used the frayed pieces of burlap in my flower cluster….Enjoying the Moment from one of the BS’s of the labels…Here is the inside of the card….
On this side I used here & now…
A close up of framed diecut & pot & cup….
This is where I used the quote, making it look like a recipe. I love this quote, & with Erlendur getting in his snow mobile accident,& recovering from a brain injury, I realize that I can not go back & wish this did not happen, nor can I wonder what his future will be. I am so lucky that I have both my scrapbooking & gardening, to keep me busy every day, making some thing beautiful!!!
Here is a fun LO I did using the Vintage Spring Collection
From the Vintage Spring Basics I used,1st of March,3rd of April,3rd of April BS,6th of March,2nd of April,5th of April,5th of April-BS & a BS of a Label…The chipboard used is from Dusty Attic.
Here are some close ups of detail….
lI left some of the chipboard raw, except for inking the edges using a brown ink pad,to bring out the brown in the paper….
On the rest of the chipboard I altered,by painting one # denim, then the next yellow.I then stamped them using the opposite colour. Once that dried I applied a coat of crackle, I let the crackle dry, then rubbed in some white paint, using my finger to tone down the color. I then inked all the edges of the chipboard, using a brown ink pad…
The flowers used are from Petaloo…
Here is a canvas I did using the Vintage Autumn Basics Collection & the Fika Collection…
From the Vintage Autumn Basics I used:No.VIII-BS, No.XII-BS, No XIV-BS,No.XI, &No.XV
A close up showing, the seahorse (I did a simple tut at the end of this post). I cut holes in the paper, distressed the edges, then glued the fish net in between 2 pieces of paper. I then hand stitched, the piece together. Once I completed my hand stitching I weaved the tread through the stitches, then added some beads.I painted on some Viva Modeling Cream (Champagne) onto the fish net & glued on some more seed beads..
I painted the frame, trim, flourish, foliage,& mini words with a coat of clear rock candy crackle & once that dried I applied a coat of LuminArte’ Stargazer….I used the Stargazer on all the chipboard, but on the Seahorse I applied the LuminArte’ then the crackle,I am amazed how the color changed so much, by doing the opposite!!
The netting used is from some old Halloween decorations….
Shows distressed layers of paper & layers of chipboard….
The mauve flowers are prima & the blue are Kaiser Craft…
Thank you so much for taking the time to look….Rachelle
