My wish

Crea Diem was one of the Maja Design collections that I hardly dared to cut into, just because it is so pretty. I really love the elegant and timeless designs and the beautiful colours in these papers. This week I decided to just do it and use these wonderful papers to create a lay-out about my niece. On this lay-out I wanted to record my biggest wish: becoming a mom some day. More than everything else in the world, I would love to have children of my own in the future. Seeing my nieces grow up from these cute little babies into happy toddlers and then smart children, just makes my heart sing!

My wish The first thing I did to make this lay-out, was cutting out the clock pattern from the “Den oersättliga tiden” sheet. I wanted it to be a real eye-catcher on my lay-out and kind of built the rest of my lay-out around it. Also I cut out some butterflies from the Vintage Spring Basics “6th of May” sheet. I spread them over my lay-out, in such way that it looks as if they are flying to the top of my lay-out.My Wish 2 In the right upper corner I created a cluster with some flourishes, a frame, two clocks and – once again – my favourite fussy cut butterflies. A little flower cluster and some cut out twigs (from the “Den oersättliga tiden” sheet made the finishing touch on my page. My Wish 3Supply list:
Maja Design: patterned papers (Crea Diem collection: Den oersättliga tiden, Av hela mitt hjärta – bs, Fylld av kärlek-bs, Ord flyger bort, Känn dig själv, Ord flyger bort-bs, Sann vänskap-bs; Vintage Spring Basics collection: 6th of May); Prima Marketing: roses, clocks, alphabet stickers, mask; Tim Holtz: edge distresser, distress ink; Memory Box: flourish die; Martha Stewart: border punches; Waco: pearl pen; Other: doilies, gesso, pearls, seam binding.

Thank you so much for your visit to the Maja blog today! Have a wonderful week!

Romy, this is just beautiful! You will make a loving mother to your own children, and in the meantime it sounds like you are a doting aunt! Love the central clock face, and the scalloped border.

WOW! Romy, let me first say, I am SO glad that you cut into these papers! It is true, they are beyond gorgeous and it’s hard to do, but I am so, so glad you did because this layout shows all the papers off so beautifully! You have also inspired me to do the same! Off cutting I go! 🙂
