I hope you have had a wonderful, sunny weekend. To start off the new week I have a lay-out to show you that I made with the gorgeous “Walking in the forest” collection. I dedicated this lay-out to the nickname that I had as a child: Pippi. Pippi Longstocking (or ‘Pippi Langkous’ as we call her in Dutch) is a character from Astrid Lindgren’s books. Her dad is a pirate and she lives in their home all by herself. She is famous for her ginger hair, piggytails and freckles. Because I have ginger hair and freckles too, people often called me ‘Pippi’ as a child.
On my lay-out I actually used two other collections, besides the ‘Walking in the Forest’ collection. The soft yellow paper is from the ‘Vintage Summer Basics’ collection and the grid pattern was cut out from one of the ‘Vintage Winter’ papers.
Once again I couldn’t resist cutting out some of the images from the papers, such as these tiny butterflies, a robin, mushrooms and some leaves. I finished off my lay-out with some lovely flowers, a clock and a resin cupid.
Supply list:
Maja Design: patterned papers (Walking in the Forest: Maple, Last flowers, Die-cut letters-bs, Die-cut sheet, Die-cut sheet-bs; Vintage Summer Basics: 1915; Vintage Winter: Christmas Joy-bs); Prima Marketing: flowers, resin cupid, clocks, alphabet stickers, distress tool; Martha Stewart: punches; Bo Bunny: doily; Waco: pearl pen.
