Welcome to the Maja Design blog today and have a look at what I’ve created to share with you 🙂

Autumn always makes me feel more romantic and nostalgic. I love to sit in the evenings with a mug of raspberry tea and a good book, wrapped in a cozy blanket, or go through photo albums all over again 🙂 It’s also the time to describe and organise summer photos, or make first Christmas arrangements (I like to prepare my gift lists much earlier so that holiday frenzy doesn’t affect me LOL). And thus a beautiful handmade notebook is needed 🙂

I made this one using the Vintage Summer and Vintage Autumn Basics collections. For the cover I combined my two favourite papers from the VAB collection: I just love how the beautiul roses look with those stripes! I used the signature strip to cover the line between the papers. I decorated the die-cut plaquette with a fabric rose and paper Prima leaves and a die-cut Prima doily cut into halves. I also cut out a clock face and placed it in the doily centre:

I like to decorate the wires of my notebooks too: here I tied a beautiful guipure ribbon and a tag I cut out from the VAB sheet – it can be used as a bookmark, or if you would like to give the notebook as a present – you can write some wishes on it 🙂

For the inner cover I used a Vintage Summer Basic paper, with a more delicate rose pattern. I also stamped several stamps:

The notebook is sturdy enough to go into a handbag, but I think I’m just going to keep it on my desk to have it at hand 🙂
