Hello Maja Fans, I’m so glad you’re here today 🙂
This time I have a special layout to share. My friend has a disabled son and a group of crafty gals gathered to help her raise some money for his rehab. Some of us donated handmade cards or jewellery for auctions, other just spread the news – any kind of help is needed and appreciated. My idea was to make a layout for the highest bidder in an auction, with their photos and to their taste. And here’s the result:
I got this photo of the winner’s kids and thought of this double-view idea, with the photo in the background in sepia. And then the colours of the photo in the foreground made me think of the Ska Vi Ta En Fika? papers, and as it was taken in the woods, I thought this blackberry paper would give a nice forest climate 🙂 Then I decided on the title – Carpe Diem, seize the day. I think even the littlest moments in life are important because they are unique, nothing ever happens again so each second is precious. And thus the golden mist I sprayed all over the background and flowers and the glitter on the letters:
…and flowers matching the colours of the kids’ clothes. The rest of the embellies include the resin house I painted brown to make hte details pop, a chipboard clock covered with Crackle Accents and the silvery key charm.
This is already the second auctioned layout and I’m so happy I could help even this little – I believe what goes around comes around and it’s so important to help whenever we can. One person can’t help everyone, but together we can change the world! 🙂
